My husband and I
My husband and I
About this Cook
I've been married for 10 years. I have 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. I enjoy being a stay at home mom. I love to read, cook, and do fun things with my family.
My favorite things to cook
Anything in a crockpot! It's a great thing when you have a big family and evenings are busy. I like cooking just about anything and everything. The only thing I do not enjoy is baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm Italian and my family makes their own pasta and lots of great Italian dishes! I love to make huge batches of homemade spaghetti sauce and freeze them in tubs and have them ready for a quick meal.
My cooking triumphs
The first year I was married, my husband ate 2 things. Meatloaf and Spaghetti. I have come a long ways since then and now cook a variety of things.
My cooking tragedies
There have been a few. lol. Just nothing comes to mind at the moment.

Classic Macaroni Salad
I really liked this recipe!! Only reason i rated a 4 is bc it would b way too sweet with that amount lf sugar. I cut the sugar in half and its perfect. When u first taste it it still tastes really sweet. But a few hours in the fridge and it tastes just right. Otherwise, this recipe is amazing! I brought it on a camping trip and i had several people ask for the recipe.

Homesteader Cornbread
I've tried a lot of recipes looking for "the one" and let me tell you, this is it! It is so moist! This will be my go to recipe from now on. I made my in a cast iron skillet. It's a must when making cornbread!

Party Punch IX
This punch is very good! I love the slightly "chewy" slush the jello gives it. After reading a lot of reviews I was ready to halve the sugar. After mixing it all, I thought it needed more sugar...so I ended up adding a total of 3 cups sugar. You have to remember...there is a 16 oz bottle of lemon juice in this! So there is a lot of tartness in it. My punch tasted great and the guests loved it....but, personally, I think even if you put the 4 cups sugar it would be great! I would NOT do 2 cups...waaaay too tart that way in my opinion. Oh, and I used 2 strawberry and 1 raspberry. Next time I think I will use just strawberry or the mixed fruit flavor jello.
