Flayed Man Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
Made this for a Halloween party and it was a HUGE hit! Really disgusting looking! Used the recipe from Easy Cheese Ball II for the cheese mixture and it was delicious.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
Delicious! I covered this as other reviews recommended and it wasn't dry at all. Made one batch with non-fat greek yogurt in place of the sour cream and reduced fat provolone and it was just as good. Added garlic and italian seasoning to the beef/onion mixture. I will definitely be making this again!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
This recipe did not disappoint! I took this to a Father's Day BBQ and everyone raved about these. I increased the cream cheese to 3 packages and cut WAY down on the butter...just brushed it over the top and probably only used 2 tbsp. Served refigerated the day after I made them and they were amazing!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
Absolutely delicious! I followed the other reviewers suggestions and added some cinnamon to the butter/sugar mixture and mixed the apples in it before mounding in the pie crust. I prefer a crumb crust to a double crust pie but I would NOT recommend that with this recipe. There is a lot of moisture in the apple filling and the crumb topping got soft in the middle. It was also a little too sweet with this filling (that is sweeter from most I've had). This will DEFINITELY be my go-to apple pie recipe from now on!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I have tried this recipe twice and was SO disappointed with this fudge! I knew there was a problem when I poured it into the pan and grease started pooling on top of it. After it cooled it was crumbly and hard. I used a candy thermometer and tried to get the temperature to 234, which is standard for fudge, but it takes WELL over 5 minutes. After 2 failed attempts, I went back to the recipe on the back of the marshmallow fluff jar just to prove that I CAN make fudge and it was as creamy as ever! Although the texture was terrible, the taste of this fudge was very good...not SUPER sweet and a nice blend between milk and semi-sweet choc. Unfortunately, I'm throwing in the towel on this one!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
Delicious! Great texture and great flavor. It has a nice underlying spice but the pumpkin isn't overpowering. I followed the recipe exactly (used reduced fat cream cheese) and it was SO quick and easy.

Baked Oatmeal II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
I've never had or made baked oatmeal so I wasn't sure what to expect with this recipe. I was pleasantly surprised! This was like a soft granola bar or almost a chunky muffin. I took other reviewers advice and cut the sugar in half (I actually used Sucanat). I also used 1/2 cup applesauce instead of butter and egg beaters instead of eggs. I added a little ginger and some slivered almonds and it was delicious. Brought it to work for a breakfast treat and everyone enjoyed it. It wasn't devoured but we picked at it happily all day. I would definitely make this again!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
WOW! Delicious pie! I took the other reviewers' advice and used 2 cans (fat free) sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup key lime juice and 4 egg yolks. Baked for 25 minutes and it was absolutely perfect! I topped this off with some fat free cool whip and I would definitely recommend it as it cuts the sweetness a bit. Great texture and just the right amount of tart. I will definitely use this recipe again!

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
Absolutely delicious! I made this for a work potluck and we devoured it. I cut down the butter a little (maybe 1/3 cup instead of 1/2) and it was still moist and delicious. Next time I think I will add an extra can of peaches (minus the juice) b/c I think it could have used a few more. I will definitely make this again!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
These were delicious and the name definitely represents them accurately. Good, mild taste and very soft. I might increase the ginger a little next time or take the other reviewers advice and use OJ instead of water. Thanks for a great recipe!

Key Lime Pie VII

Wow, this pie was SO SWEET! I felt like I was eating sweetened condensed milk with a fork! Good texture and good lime flavor but way too sweet for me.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
This recipe was great! I cut it down to 3 eggs and baked it a little longer to make sure it wasn't soupy and it was perfect! It did seem like there was a little bit too much sugar and I will probably cut it down to 1/2 cup next time. I will definitely make this again!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Awesome chocolate chip cookies! I made a half batch and cut the butter down to 3/4 cup, added 2 tsp of vanilla and followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Cooked for exactly 12 minutes and they were awesome! Soft and delicious just like the title says!

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Great, simple recipe! Brought these to work and everyone loved them. I followed the previous reviewers advice and "twisted" the cookies out of the pan without any problems (also greased pan). I only have one mini-muffin pan and had to keep the fudge mixture warm on the oven while the second batch cooked. This was a little tricky and it seemed like the fudge on the second batch dried hard instead of staying soft. Next time I will wait until all of the cookies are done before I start the fudge. Overall, great recipe...I followed it exactly. Had to use hershey kisses for the milk chocolate b/c I didn't have any milk chocolate chips on hand but it worked great.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
LOVED this recipe! I don't have a lot of experience with Irish Soda Bread but this recipe was SUPER easy and delicious. I added raisins (that I had soaked) and they were really nice in there. I did take one of the other reviewers advice and decreased my oven temp and increased my time a little to make sure it cooked all the way through.

Glazed Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
I was pretty disappointed with this recipe. I made it twice...the first time I followed the recipe exactly and it came out very dense but dry and hardly tasted like lemon (although the glaze helped). I tried it a second time and substituted 2/3 cup lemon yogurt and 1/3 cup lemon juice for the milk and it came out a little better but still disappointing. It was very dense but almost "gummy". Very strange texture! At this point, I think I'm going to retire the recipe and keep searching.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This cake was just as amazing as all of the other reviews state! I followed the recipe exactly and it was SO simple. Only one bowl to wash!!! I used chocolate pudding between the layers and cool whip on top and it was perfect! Made it very light and refreshing. I will NEVER used a boxed cake mix again!
