Extreme Chocolate Cake

I was extremely under-impressed with this recipe. When I think of a scratch-made chocolate cake, this is severely under par. The smell is heavenly but the taste is just like a box of devil's food cake that you can get at any grocery store and the icing is waaaaay too sweet. I will not be making this cake again.

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

I didn't have any vodka (I'm 6 months preggo) and I omitted the red pepper (I also have a 4 y/o) and this was still amazing! Followed the rest of the recipe to a tee. Thanks so much for sharing. This one is a keeper, for sure!

The Meatball that Fell Off the Table

My husband liked this recipe but I halved the nutmeg and tripled the gravy. I still thought it was terrible and the nutmeg overpowering. I didn't finish what was on my plate. =( It looked so good too!

Fudgy Buttons

My 4 year old son and I made these today and they are AWESOME! I had to do most of the stirring since it's so thick but he helped roll them into balls and push them down into buttons. The ONLY thing we changed was DOUBLING the recipe and I'm really glad we did! (For those who say the recipe was too thin- did you remove the pan from the heat once the butter was melted? We had zero problems.) Thanks for the wonderful recipe Ann!

JIF® Glitter Balls

This was my 2nd time making pb balls (the 1st was a disaster!) and EVERYONE loved them! They were a little difficult to cover but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun. The white chocolate/shortening mix gets really thick as cools but it seemed to be easier to cover the balls once it had cooled a little bit. I melted the chips/shortening in a double boiler (over Med heat, stirring frequently- then constantly once most were melted) and then took the pot and the chilled pb balls to my dining room table to "dip." I used a regular spoon and my fingers to cover the balls in chocolate. I did run out of chocolate, though, and had about 10 pb balls left over... Next time I'll add a little more chocolate chips. Lots of work but the end result is AMAZING. This is a Christmas keeper!

Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits

This is AWESOME! Don't change a thing. The dough is sticky but I always keep a little pile (1/2-1 Cup) of flour beside me when I'm working with dough. If you're having problems, sprinkle flour all over the surface of dough WHILE it's in the bowl (I did the KNEADING part with my hand mixer and dough hook attachments), flour hands and turn dough, sprinkle with flour, knead with hands a couple of time, sprinkling flour on sticky parts as needed and then remove and roll out. Keep sprinkling whenever you hit a really stick spot.

Extra Easy Hummus

I followed the recipe exactly and thought it was great. This was very a quick and easy hummus. Since I generally have all this on hand it will definitely be a keeper, however, occasionally I will have to make it with tahini (for the perfect hummus!)

Fresh Veggie Bagel Sandwich

I made this using a toasted everything bagel and added a slice of cheddar cheese. Instead of mustard I whipped up a batch of "Extra Easy Hummus" (from this site) and it was a TOTAL hit! My husband said he could eat it every day! Thanks so much for a healthy and easy recipe!!!

Baked Pork Chops with Garden Stuffing

I made this with some cream of mushroom soup that I had on hand and a bag of frozen asparagus stirfry mixed veggies. I seasoned the pork with a little pepper and seasoned salt before puting them in with the stuffing mix. This recipe is a definite keeper! So quick and easy and oh so good =)
