Gnocchi I

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2014
My son wants to be a chef, and after seeing kids on Master chef kids make gnocchi we came looking for a recipe! We came across this one and gave it a try. I was a little nervous as I had never made these before. They turned out great! My son had a great time and was extremely proud. Thanks for sharing! :)

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2014
This is a fantastic recipe! My children have started giving me a hard time about whole grain breads. Even when I make french toast with them. Well I tried this recipe with a Quinoa and flax seed bread, and was waiting to hear the usual complaints. Not a peep out of them other then asking for more!!

Fluffy Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
Not as fluffy as I thought it might be. but a very good quick icing! :) My son has a peanut allergy, so we need to bring our own cupcakes and things for him to parties. This is a great quick icing I can make when we need to be somewhere! Thanks for sharing!

I thought these were vary good! I used Vanilla milk (instead of buttermilk) and really cut the sugar back. I added an apple sauce as I only had one banana. They turned out really nice. :) Will make them again. They are a great recipe t build on and add to I find. :)

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Good recipe, but needs a touch more flavoring. :) I pureed my strawberries since my little ones don't like chunks of fruit in their muffins. But the batter needs a touch more zest! Will add a touch of lemon and a bit more cinnamon and a little brown sugar next time.

Red Velvet Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Wow fantastic cake!! The icing is the "piece de resistance! " I was not sure if I was going to try it, and was about to make cream cheese icing, but realized I was out of icing sugar, and remembered reading that this icing was worth trying and trying until succeeding (that is is worth the work) . Well it worked on my first try, and it was amazing!! My son said he wished it was the only kind of icing in the entire world! lol he key for me was to really whip it a klot. more then I would have thought. But once you combine your milk and flour mixture with the sugar and butter mixture, really give it some extra mixing time. :) The icing is SOOO worth it!(I also added a bit more sugar to the cake and used one cup oil instead of the shortening! )

Jif® Peanut Butter Blossoms

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
These were wonderful! I also made them in mini-muffin pans and they all turned out pretty uniform in size this way. I used Reeses peanut butter chips and mini chocolate chips to top them instead of the kisses. I made a double batch, and had to use half margarine and half butter (all I had), and they still turned out amazing! They are being put into Christmas baskets tomorrow, if they last! LOL

Soft Zucchini Spice Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
These are SOOOO good!! I came across this recipe by accident in searching for soft cookies, and thought I would give it a try. They are SOOO good. My kids are devouring them! I made some of them in mini-muffins trays as well, since they are to go into Christmas gift baskets, made them look so cute. I omitted the ground cloves and upped the cinnamon as another user did. I did not have any raisins or nuts, but they still came out great! Definitely going to be making them again Can't wait to have people try them from their goodies baskets!

Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
This was a GREAT recipe! I also cut a bit of the sugar, and tried it with white and whole wheat flour, and half and half. It is a versatile recipe that my family loves, and it will be a repeat recipe to be used on a regular basis! I am going to try freezing some with the batch I made today to see how they fare being frozen! Thanks for sharing!!
