Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
The batter will be THICK! But do not worry, they do come out very moist and tender. I made a cinnamon cream cheese frosting and grated some fresh ginger in the batter as well. Absolutely delicious! Really does taste like the fall

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: May 5, 2012
This is very good on it's own. However, if you really want it to be OVER THE TOP FANTASTIC, replace the milk with coffee (or espresso) and add a couple teaspoons of cinnamon. OH WOW does it ever make it decadent. Also, I like mine thicker, so I used half butter and half cream cheese, plus i reduced the sugar by a 3rd and it was still sweet enough for me. Yum yum

Beer-Baked Irish Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
I found this very fatty and I didn't really enjoy the flavour. Maybe if it was tweaked it would be better? If i make it again i will not use all the bacon drippings, half the amount of beer and instead try to make a gravy. THe texture of this is just liquid fat.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
Perfect! I wouldn't change a thing. Its moist and fluffy and has a very wholesome flavour. Personally, I only used 1/2 a cup of sugar and i found it just sweet enough. I also used plain yogurt instead of buttermilk and it worked just fine. Love this recipe, will use again!

Banana-Chip Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
Simply wonderful! They stay moist for a long time. You can definitely use all whole wheat flour without sacrificing flavor. The chocolate chips are great, but next time I will try with assorted dry fruit for more of a breakfast bonus. Definitely an awesome breakfast/guilt free snack muffin!

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Came out perfect! Crust was flaky(I mean this in a good way- as in many layers of golden brown crust) and melted in your mouth. I substituted the last 1/4 of flour with pastry flour to make mine rise a bit more and added a tiny bit of vinegar to enhance the flavor (less than 1/4 tsp). If you do this, I recommend rolling the dough very thin as it puffs out a lot. Delicious, would never use lard or crisco again. Thank you so much!

Chewy Brownie Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
Very Good cookies. The dough is tricky as it is very runny/sticky. I also worried that they were under baked and had to cook them a few minutes longer. Next time I will also cut down on the sugar as I am not a fan of very sweet cookies. These will taste better if you use good quality chocolate chips. Definitely a keeper. Very moist, chewy cookies. Yum!

Grandma's Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
Absolutely delicious. It's easy, flexible, and tasty. What more could you want from a soup? I personally added pepper and reduced the sugar, but you can play around with the ingredients to suit your dietary tastes/needs. I just had my wisdom teeth taken out so this recipe has come in handy. Thank you for posting!
