Bacon and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
Yummy! I forgot how much I love soups until today. Followed the recipe. Only 1 thing I did differently was added shredded cheese to the bowl of hot soup rather than the whole mixture.

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
What a great recipe. Added a few red potatoes just because I needed to use them. Used Kolbassa (by accident) only because I bought the wrong thing but it still turned out really good. Added extra bacon but that's a habit. Thanks for this recipe loved the caraway seeds. Next time I will buy the Kielbasa! Yummy! Picture# 16

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
Just love it! I bought a pumpkin this year for the first time and may have over done it.. Bought a big one. This has given me the opportunity to try a few pumpkin recipes off of this site. Love this spicy bread! It's wonderful. Sometimes make it just so I can spice the house up with the lovely smell.

Pumpkin Pie Squares

Yummy! Very good recipe. Made this recipe. Also used shell for other recipes. Don't have much room for rolling pie shells at my place and don't use store bought so love this!

Butternut Squash with Onions and Pecans

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This recipe looked so good! Had to make this with a couple of variations because I did not have any parsley. Made the recipe without and added some maple syrup. Not into everything just into my own bowl as I was not sure how it would turn out. Saw maple syrup in another butternut squash recipe on this site. It turned out really good. Did not try it with pepper yet, will do. Tried with and without lemon. Liked it more without the lemon. Very nice!

Pumpkin French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
These are so good they taste like they should be bad for you.. I used oat bread instead of whole wheat and could taste the pumpkin fine. Only used the oat bread because that is what I had. This bread was light however and could not stay in the mixture long. Really nice change if you already like french toast. It's like the easy or instant version of pumpkin pie and it's good for you. Although the pumpkin may not be overly strong. I found the ingredients/spices completely mask the eggs. This turns them into a sweet and spicy dessert like breakfast!

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
I am going to try this right now!! Sounds terrific. Food for thought however... I would imagine this would be great on French toast, waffles or pancakes as well....
