Garlic Prime Rib

This was great. My husband said it was just as good as any restaurant prime rib. I also added a bit of rosemary and extra garlic. For au jus, I strained the pan drippings in a pan, added a bit of dijon mustard, about a 1/4 cup cold water with about 1 Tablespoon and a half of cornstarch, blended with a wisk and slowly added a can of Campbells Beef Consumme. I will definitely prepare prime rib this way often.

Fluffy Pancakes

We really enjoyed these pancakes. The perfect amount for two. I used a cup of milk and added one Tablespoon of vinegar and one of fresh lemon juice. I also added about a teaspoon of vanilla and cut the salt to 1/4 teaspoon.

LJ's Easy Penne with Vodka Sauce

I've made this a few times with these minor changes: I use crushed tomatoes with italian herbs, half and half, 1/3 cup vodka and use freshly grated Parmesan cheese added about 15 -30 minutes before serving. I serve this on cheese tortellini with italian sausage, garlic bread and salad. I also add about a teaspoon of sugar. Yum!
