About this Cook
Mom and a property manager that loves to cook for her son and residents. I love walking in the beautiful parks we have here in town and am looking for a lap dog to welcome into our family.
My favorite things to cook
I am loving learning how to cook Korean food for my son. It is our only resource to get familiar with that part of his culture. We love watching food network and copying what ever we have in the fridge that is compatible with what Bobby Flay, Alton Brown or Paula Dean is cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My son and I do the prep work every Sunday together. We chop our celery, onions, peppers, carrots and other items and bag them. It's something that we can do together and we are productive together.
My cooking triumphs
We made my grandmas' etoufee and it was so good that we had to make more the next day.
My cooking tragedies
Losing a sauce pan due to trying to make rice the old fashioned way. We're sticking to the rice cooker!

Boston Baked Beans
I made this is the slow cooker. I soaked my beans and made them in the slow cooker on low over night. I then fried my bacon and the veggies and then added them and the other ingredients to the slow cooker and 3 hours later, the flavors had melded to create my son's new favorite! This is easy and delicious! I omitted the mustard as I am not a fan.

Absolutely Best Brownies
Made these into little graves with marshmallow headstones for Halloween. I enjoyed these save for not being able to get the same texture from the outside to the middle. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Real Homemade Tamales
This was great and made me feel accomplished at my first attempt at tamales. The masa-lard-chicken stock (didn't have pork) mixture turned out really well. The chicken in the chili sauce was so awesome. I will keep working at the recipe and by the time my kid comes home, i can try it out on him, too!
