Donut Muffins

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
I made these for hubby. He likes stuff like this- I don't. He tried one and loved it. Then I tried one. They are very good. I used a brand new mini muffin tray, cooked for 17 minutes and they turned out quite dark (as compared to the photos). I have an thermometer in my oven and baked them at exactly 375. They were crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. They are so tasty and cute. They would be great to serve at a shower, brunch or any tea party type event. Thanks for the recipe.

Polish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
I made chicken soup my usual way. Hubby wanted dumplings instead of noodles. I've never had dumplings. I found this recipe and added the spices in this recipe to my own soup and it was awesome. Anyway, I really just wanted this recipe for the dumplings. I made and tasted dumplings for the first time last night. DELICIOUS. I will never use noodles again. I made some dumplings big, some small and some just kind of drizzled because I wanted to see how I liked them best. I prefer smaller, but all good.

Baxis White Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Okay, finally a loaf of bread that's a size I can use. This tastes great and is perfect for what I need. The loaf is small, but is perfect for the two of us. We had a slice with a meatloaf I found here, hubby will have two meatloaf sanwiches for lunch tomorrow and we'll both have have toast tomorrow morning. Thanks for this recipe!

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Wow, my new oven is super hot. I baked at 350 for 29 minutes and took them out not a moment too soon. The bread is delicious, crunchy and chewy. Next time I will make my loaves longer and bake even less. I will roll out the dough to about eight inches by fourteen, roll up long way and bake for about 25 minutes. The recipe is great, but I did have to add more water. The taste and texture was great, but I didn't like the appearance of the loaves. That was my fault. Thanks for this recipe.

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly except I used milled flax seed. This bread was so good. I ate one slice with cheese for breakfast. I toasted a second slice for lunch and had Becel on it. It tasted so good and nutty. I don't like the the way my bread maker shapes the loaves so tall. I think the next time I make this I'll just use the dough setting and then bake it in a large loaf pan. I might even make perfectly sized buns. Thanks for this great recipe!

French Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
This was sooo good. I needed more liquid and added a TBSP of olive oil. It's just the two of us so I halved the recipe. Delicious. Way better than store bought and easy too. I ate it with butter and then served as an appetizer. Cut into half inch slices, butter and grill each side. Cover one side in strawberry jam and spread with warmed (microwave for about 40 seconds) brie cheese.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
Thanks for this recipe. I added an extra half teaspoon of salt and it turned out perfectly. I made this bread once before using only one teaspoon of salt and it rose too much and was difficult to remove from the machine without destroying the top of the loaf. This time it was perfect and delicious.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
Ooops. I let these rise too long. I didn't read the recipe and didn't add the 1/4 cup butter. I ended up smearing it on top with an egg which caused the buns to deflate a bit. I made the dough into 16 buns I baked in a large glass lasagna dish. Anyway, they turned out great.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
This was very good. I sauteed fresh mushrooms with the green onion and simmered it all together for an hour. It was the perfect consistancy. Next time I will add more broth and less wine. It was a bit too wine-y for me.
