About this Cook
I am a MUSLIM, Pakistani, house wife. completely in love with my husband and having a beautiful time with my son. I live in a joint family system and thoroughly enjoy its benifits. I love my life and want to change international perceptive of my country and my people.
My favorite things to cook
My husband is a very choosy eater. and more difficult to please then any toddler. so i love cooking hot and spicy dishes. especilly meats because my hubby loves meats.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Muslims have 2 major festivals every year.1st Eid-ul-fitr.it comes after the month of ramadan during this month we fast from dawn to sunset.i love sahar, the meal we eat before dawn and iftar, the meal we eat when we end our fast.its a whole month of celebration and togetherness. At the end of this mont we celebrate Eid. its a time of happiness and joy. 2nd is Eid-ul-adha. when we slaughter animals as sacrifice & distribute the meat among poor. and the small part that we keep for ourslf, is used to make the most favs of the family. a feast for family and friends is arranged. its a beautiful feast and we wait the whole year for it.
My cooking triumphs
I like putting a dash of this and a pinch of that to make something new and different. Thanks to Allah most of the time i succeed.
My cooking tragedies
Well its not absolutely necessary that "this and that" would always work... so many tragedies also happen from time to time.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
this was a great recipe cookies turned out great. every one loved these cookies but i personally felt that these are a bit too sweet... next time i am going to reduce the sugar by atleast 2/3 cups of both white and brown...

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
these cookies were great... beautiful combination of crunchiness and softness... i made them as party favors for my sons' birthday party.. did not have time to ice them but they were still great... even though i did not use butter ... instead i used ghee... and also i made half a batch in which i substituted a tablespoon of flour with cocoa powder.. they were also great...

Extreme Chocolate Cake
this cake is superb. i am baking this cake in a 18x10 dish. i just put second layer of my cake into oven. and i was hardly able to stop my self from keep on "trimming the sides" of the first one. even without any frosting, its superb. i did not have baking soda so i used 3 teaspoons of baking powder. still it came out great. though next time i sure will try it with baking soda and check the difference.
