Alice Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
So good!! Tasted just like the Outbacks. WE loved it!! This is what my husband asked for for Fathers Day this year, since he loves Alice Springs chicken from Outback We served them with baked sweet potatoes, a salad, and my kids wanted some of the "Aussy" cheese fries like they get at outback. Thanks for a great recipe, it's going into my weekly meal menu!

Elegant Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
The taste was very good, I baked mine in the oven, and had a little problem, it was my not not the recipes. I cut the potatoes to thin, and it came out soupy, we ate it, and I put the left overs in the fridge for the next day, so would I did, since the potatoes were basically nothing, I added some hash browns with peppers and onion, a can a cheese soup, some more sour cream, and more cheese, baked it, and it was a really good Hash brown casserole for our family. I will try this again, and see if I can fix the soupyness, and cut the potatoes thicker this time! Thanks for the good recipe!

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
These were soo good! I did add some more salt, but that is just our preference, other than that everything was the same! These were easy to make up, and we used Tilopia, as I couldn't find any Cod yesterday (our fish monger had just closed! Boo) But it worked out wonderfully with What we used. We are going to have friends over next weekend, and we are going to make these, but put in different types of sea food, I think this would be wonderful with shrimp and other things as well. can't wait to try them next week. and the sauce is wonderful!! We doubled the sauce and I am glade we did.

Another Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
This was pretty good, but I did have to make a few changes. Like other reviewers I season the heck out of this, I used, Season salt, Garlic powder, Chopped onion, Celery salt, Pepper, and seasoned every layer. I also seasoned the chops as I cooked them first almost all the way threw. I also seasoned the soup/sour cream mixture. It turned out pretty good, my kids wanted shredded cheese on it,and they loved it with the cheese. I also had to bake it for about 50 minutes.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
This is pretty good. It is way to sweet as others have stated, and I only used 1/3 cup of sugar. It might have been b/c I used sweetened cond. milk, and while it was coming to temp, I added a few Hershey kisses to it...lol..Next time I make it I wont add any sugar to it. Other than that it was really good.

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
I made this and did make just a couple of changes to suite my families taste. I just boiled some chicken up, and shredded it, and only used 1 8z package of cream cheese. I also used a packet of Ranch dip mixed with sour cream, I used Franks Hot sauce, and just mixed everything up and put it in the crock pot. It is so yummy. I did add some cheese to it right before we all dug in, and I used Colby/Pepper Jack. it was so great! Gave it just the perfect kick!! Very yummy, this is now going to be my go to dip instead of my Mexican Queso. Thanks for the recipe!

Super Easy Jelly Doughnuts

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
This was really easy and fun for my boys to do. They had a blast making different kind of doughnuts. It was alright for me and my husband, we ate them, but nothing to rave about. I did make them for breakfast one morning and added cream cheese and jelly to the inside, so It was just basically a stuffed french toast, but it was good. I sprinkled mine with Cinn. and sugar.

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
This was alright, not melt in your mouth great, but not horrible either. I made mine with beef stock, it was easy and I might make it again in a pinch, but nothing that is going to be an over over again meal/lunch at my house.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
This was pretty good, it was a little hot for my kids, but they are small, so I just boiled up some chicken for them and made them chicken salad sandwiches. With the left over, I made the warm cheese buffalo dip, and also today I made me a chicken wrap. It was better today. Mine was not at all soupy.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This was very good, I made a few changes and it was so yummy. I used a can of chedder cheese soup, and a can of Chedder cheese and broccoli soup. I also added cubed ham, to make it a one dish casserole for dinner. It was so good, and melted in your mouth. My children loved it (I have very picky eaters all boys ages 5,3, and 1) and they ate every bite and the oldest asked for seconds..lol..I did use Colby jack shredded cheese, along with chedder on top as we like cheese, and I sauteed the onions. Very very good! This is a keeper in our house!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This was so yummy! My husband ate almost the whole thing by himself, we had friends over the next night, and I had to make another batch of it, and again it was gone the same night. I serve this with Italian bread slices. What I do, is I cut the bread in 1/2, place on baking sheet, then drizzle some EVOO to the top, sprinkle some garlic powder on top and a little Parm cheese. Bake at 275 for about 5-6 minutes or till golden brown, and it is so yummy, You can also just broil the bread, but mine turns out to crispy, we like a little give in the bread, but still hold up to the dip. Thanks for a wonderful recipe, it will be a keeper at my house!
