Mama's Hearty Minestrone

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
Very Good. I used Louisiana hot links , not ground beef, this made it even easier, no draining the beef. Zucchini and carrots, one can of baby white beans, out of basil, so I added about 1/4 tsp. of ground cumin and lots of oregano. Great go to soup. Thanks for the recipe

Pinwheel Meatloaf

Very good, and what a nice way to dress up meat loaf. I used fresh spinach, just sauted with the onions and butter until it wilted.

Tropical Coleslaw

This is delicious and fun, served at an outdoor BBQ and was loved by all. I added a little cinnamon, that added nice flavor left out the banana, but added the 2tblsp of lemon juice, left out the celery and used one apple for the crunch, I will make it again. A real crowd pleaser.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
Excelente, we enjoyed these very much, served with ranch dressing, I think I might put a little honey in the sauce the next time I make them, a little sweet/hot might be nice, but this recipe as is, will be a keeper. I did the fry in a Le Cruset dutch oven with lid on very crispy, just terrific. Thanks for sharing.

Mom's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
I made this with 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 non fat yogurt, cut down some of the sugar and added a bit more dill. We served it with our Lamb Kabobs and honey potatoes and spring asperagus for Easter dinner, everyone thought it was an excellent addition. I will serve this again. Great summer side dish.

Very good and easy. I added one can of artichoke hearts in the last hour, I think that gave it more texture, the left overs were even better!

Savory Sausage and Rice Skillet

I'm not sure it is worth a four and one half star. It was nice, warm comfort food for a week night. Not great, not bad. Got out of it what you put into it, simple. Probally won't make it again.

This potatoe casserole is fabulous. I did add chives and bacon bits with the milk, flour salt and garlic powder. My son and his family came for dinner, 10 year old loved it. recipe is for 8, we had six people and the bowl was clean, not a piece for left overs, I will make this again and again. thank you Jeannine.
