Slow Cooker Italian Beef
Good basic recipe, and super easy. If you don't happen to have a slow-cooker, this can also be done on the stove....maybe low heat for a little less time. If you don't have proper Vienna style rolls, bolillos or French/Italian bread will work. I do think the 6 servings off one pound of beef is more than a little optimistic, though. I'm just sayin'.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
Delicious recipe. I understand the desire (and sometimes need, for homemade), but after making this, I couldn't help but think the following: I just spent ~$3.00 on a chicken, whatever the oven bag cost, a fair amount prep time (not to mention the overnight refrigeration), put it in my (electric) oven for five hours (wondering how much energy THAT used), so I can have a chicken that tastes EXACTLY like one I can buy at the market two blocks away, already cooked in a rotisserie, any day of the week, for $3.99. Like I said, nothing against the recipe per se, it was yummy, just for me, logistically, it makes no sense.

Green Bean Casserole II
This is the 'standard' recipe, one of my old standbys, especially for holidays and potlucks. It's super easy, cheap to make (maybe $6-8). Do note, however, if you're a pig like me and use a little extra on the french fried onions, this is super-fattening (15g in the soup, the box of onions, 84g). Unfortunately, I'm not the best at self-portion-control, so it is probably good that I only make this for 'special' occasions, in general!
