Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
I've made this recipe twice. The first time, I doubled the recipe... but forgot to double the flour >.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
I have made this recipe about 10 times, and I absolutely love it. It is consistantly amazing. Over the course of batches, I've altered it to my taste. Instead of the walnuts, I use sunflower seeds. I do not use green pepper at all. I add apple and sliced grapes. I put in about half of the amount of onion suggested in the recipe. All in all, perfecto!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
WONDERFUL! I doubled the recipe, and thought I would have a lot left over. They were meant to be extra snack food at Thanksgiving. Not only did half of the people that were supposed to be there not come (and of course nobody told me until the day of!) but I didn't have ANY left over. The only change I made was to use orange juice instead of water, as suggested. Delicious!

Spooky Halloween Eyeballs

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
These were so fun! ONE complaint... they don't have any texture. The peanut butter is really good, but is very rich, and the creaminess combined with the sweetness makes it hard to eat an entire one (which might be a good thing for me ha!) They are much more "eatable" when you add something like rice krispie cereal to the peanut butter mix to add some crunch, or perhaps crushed peanuts (though I didn't try that... it just sounds good as I'm typing this!)

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
These look awesome! One suggestion... call them "shortbread cookies" and suddenly, they're delicious! They don't taste like sugar cookies, because they are a bit bland and hard. If you call them shortbread, the taste is more appropriate with what you associate with that type of cookie, and the change in mindset makes them great. Everyone at my halloween party loved my spooky witch shortbread cookies ;)

Snickerdoodles V

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
These are delicious, but different shape from what I think of as a "traditional" snickerdoodle. The texture is a little more dense, not allowing them to widen and flatten out while baking. I tried flattening them out myself before baking, but the dough just crumbled when I did. No matter what shape you're expecting, the taste is perfect!

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Best. Cookies. Ever. I added more chocolate chips, but they would have been fine without more.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
I have made a lot of candies and truffles, and these by far were the messiest to make that I have ever attempted. The cream cheese for some reason did not "stick" well with the oreos, and it was an utter mess. It was not a great way to start my holiday cooking. They tasted good (especially after a day or two), but they were so difficult that I don't think I'll make them again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This was pretty good! I prepared it exactly as the recipe called for. It was a bit too salty, but I put it on egg noodles and it turned out delicious. I'll probably do something to make it taste less salty next time.

Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
This was so easy to make. It tasted so much better than you would expect box mix to taste. Note, please DO mix for as long as suggested, especially for the cake batter. It makes it thick and moist and wonderful. I made mine into a layer cake, and it was perfect. As suggested, I substitued everything "vanilla" for lemon flavored things :)

Vegetable Pizza I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
Tasty! Note, do not do as I did the first time and use "low fat" and "no fat" items. It really subtracted from the taste. The second time, I went all out with the "full fat" items, and it tasted SO much better. Hey, it's still healthy-ish ;)

Chocolate Mint Dessert Brownies

So happy to find a recipe like this! I remember my mom making these when I was a little girl, and I always thought they were the best in the world! Glad my memory was correct. Delicious.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
This is really good! I made it for dinner last night, and my husband loved it. I shared it with several people at work today, and they're all going to go home and try it out. I didn't modify it that much. I did make a larger batch than the recipe calls for, and cooked the dumplings for much longer than called for because of the complaints of uncooked dough I read repeatedly. It was great as is, it didn't need any veggies besides the onion, which I thought it might. Loved it!

T's Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
I love sweet potato fries normally, but for some reason these will not work out for me. They were actually bad both times I tried to make them, but I'm going to assume it was a user error and give them three stars.
