Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
Great recipe. I doubled the sauce but not the crushed red pepper (I used 3/4 tsp). It was plenty spicy. I also added about 1/4 tsp of brown sugar. I liked the added flavor.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2013
AMAZING!!! I did what others reviewers said and added 1/4 tsp Salt to the crust. For the filling I did 1.5 of the recipe so I would have a more custard on top. I think it would also be fine just as the recipe states depending on how you like your lemon bars. I also used 1 cup of Lemon Juice in my filling. I only meant to add 3/4 cup but it turned out great anyways. Not too tart. Perfect. Added powdered sugar right out of the oven so it would stick. Let the lemon bars cool down before i put the pan into the fridge. Cut them when the bars were chilled. YUMMY!!

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Delicious! I have tried several pinto bean recipes and this one is the favorite. I cooked this in a dutch oven on the stovetop. I added about a teaspoon of salt b/c of other reviews and 2 slices of bacon cut into 1" pieces. For my children I only used 1/2 Jalapeno. Also, to keep the flavor I added extra chicken broth instead of water as needed. Yummy!!

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Delicious, easy and inexpensive. I had all the ingredients on hand. Simmered on the stove top. It was done in 3 hours. I did use 1 1/2 c. of Ketchup and 1/2 c. Barbeque sauce. I had a lot of sauce left over. I'm not sure if it was b/c I used the stove top method.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Delish. I added cinnamon and used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white. I am sure it would taste great with just white sugar but I love the taste of brown sugar.

Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Yummy! I made this in the oven as directed except I halved the chili powder. It was wonderful. My entire family loved it. I will try in the crock pot next time since I accidently bought a pork sirloin roast instead of a shoulder roast. I am hoping the crock pot will make it more moist.

Delish! I didn't have all the ingredients so I used fresh lemon juice and chopped garlic. Tasted great!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Amazing. I just throw it all into a large pot and let it simmer all day. I take out the chicken after a couple of hours and remove the skin and bones and shred the meat. I also add a can of black beans (rinsed and drained). It is so easy and delicious!! It also freezes well.
