About this Cook
Married with two, HUGE Danes that love my cooking. My husband doesn't mind it, either.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try any recipe that is not labor intensive. Old family favorites make up a big portion of my daily and event cooking and baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hot, vegetable-beef soup on a cold, winter day.
My cooking triumphs
1. Chicken Cordon Bleu 2. Tossed salad (I am the "salad maker" for family functions. 3. Soups & soups
My cooking tragedies
As a newlywed, raspberry thumbprint cookies to which I added one pound of butter instead of one cup! They were shortbread pancakes!! This is one of my fav recipes to this date (measured correctly.)

The Best Zucchini Fritters Ever
Grate or julienne your zucchini and then sprinkle with about a 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt. Let zucchini set in colander and stir a few times over the course of an hour. This technique will rid you of all the zucchini liquid that would compromise your recipe!
