White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2013
These were ok for us. I made them as part of my Christmas baking. I don't know if Ibwould make them for Christmas again. I would possibly make as an "everyday" cookie.

Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
We just didn't like the bottom of this apple crisp. The topping was delicious, but the bottom was too soggy.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
I gave this 4 stars as written. I have made it twice, the second time with some adjustments to suit our tastes: I used sour cream instead of milk, cream of mushroom soup, proscuitto wrapped around the chicken, no salt and a teaspoon of Herbes de Provence added to the soup mixture. Flavourful and moist!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
This was great! I did cut the salt and oil in half and left the breasts intact. I was worried about the amount of Worchestershire, but it worked. I will be making ths again!

Pineapple Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
Other than using fresh pineapple, I made the recipe as written. It was good, but next time I will add ginger to the marinade.

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: May 11, 2013
Delicious! I doubled the rhubarb and the flour it was mixed with, but not the sugar. The topping was made as written. Next time I will add some cinnamon to the topping.

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: May 11, 2013
We all loved this! I did increase the shrimp (because I just wanted to use up the entire package) and used fresh herbs.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
Loved this chili! After making a few times, I have settled on a few modifications: I add 1 T cocoa, and leave out the cayenne and tabasco. Some of my family members find it too spicy with the cayenne and tabasco.

Thai Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2013
We thought this was good as written. The second time I made it with some modifications: double broccoli, added a red pepper, doubled the sauce and added 1/2 can coconut milk. Delicious!

This was good. I used beef broth that my husband had made and frozen.

Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
This tasted good, but it was very sweet. Definitely needs to be small servings! I am not sure if I would make it again.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
Delicious! I have made these twice. The first time, I used the ingredients as the recipe was written. The second time, I added 1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne. Both times I put the beans in my slow cooker (on low for 6 hours) after simmering them for 45 mins.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
I liked this recipe. My family thought it was a little bland. I will make it again with some changes to kick the flavour up a bit.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
These were a big hit with my family. I did cut back on the butter and used the paper towel tip to keep the condensation off my potatoes.

This was just ok for us. We found it a little bland and too sweet. I might try it again with some adjustments.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
I was a little skeptical about the amount of mushrooms called for in this recipe. I made the recipe as is and was glad I did! I found it made more than 6 servings. I will definitely be making this again!

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I made these ribs for dinner tonight. I transferred the ribs to a new foil lined baking sheet for the last part of cooking. I brushed with more sauce and cooked an additional 20 mins at 375. Fabulous! I would give it more stars if that was possible!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Delicious! I used an entire can of evaporated milk for the first part of the milk. It makes it taste rich without tasting like evaporated milk. I vigorously whisked 1 cup of milk plus the egg for the second part of the milk. By doing that, I had no "scrambled egg" issues. I will will be making this again!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
Wow! This was so good! It has become my family's most requested cake. It was easy, moist, flavourful, rich and dense. I frosted it with Rich Chocolate Frosting from this site. It was as easy (but way better) than a cake mix.
