Black Bean, Sausage, and Sweet Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2005
Nice blend of flavors. To reduce cooking time, I used canned black beans and cooked the sweet potatoes in the soup, instead of steaming seperately. I've also made this with smoked sausage and prefer it over the Italian.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2004
I left out the can of beer hoping for more of a chili consistency. I cooked down the leftovers and poured it over tortilla chips added melted Velveeta, lettuce, sour cream, and black olives for chicken nachos.

I left out the monosodum glutamate and used garlic salt in place of onion salt. Best if refrigerated overnight.

Moist and stayed moist for days. Not as sweet as I'd like, but still good served warm with butter.

Bahama-Mama Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2004
I left out the chile sauce and served it with pork chops I cooked in the crock pot with chicken broth. Tender pork chops and sweet pineapple sauce, yummy!

Pasta with Asiago Cheese and Spinach

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2004
I could only find sun-dried tomatoes packed with oil, so I eliminated the olive oil. It was a great lite pasta dish, but I have to agree on decreasing the amount of sun-dried tomatoes.

Paydirt Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2004
I don't believe the extra ingredients added anything to the package mix.

Party Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2004
For a pitch-in, I added chopped scallion, shredded chedder and bacon bits to this dish. They wolfed it down.

Give Away Zucchini Grill Out

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2002
I sprinkled a little of the Kraft 3-cheese blend (parmesan, romano, & something)while it was grilling. Yummy without killing the taste of the vegetable.

Garlic Chicken And Grapes

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2002
I thought this was delicious. After reading other comments about the sauce, I served the sauce on the side to dip according to each individual's taste. I dipped alot, my boyfriend dipped very little. To each his own.

Cottage Cheese Spinach Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2002
Not bad. I think I over stuffed the chicken. With this recipe less is more.

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2002
I found that wrapping the candy with as little dough as possible makes a better shaped cookie and with less chocolate cookie the carmel filling really stood out.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2002
I made this recipe twice. I found that the secret is slicing the meat very thin. The suggestion of marinating the meat also added more flavor. I used sugar snap peas the second time instead of snow peas and thought it also added more flavor.

Pork Chops with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2002
The tomato sauce seemed to overpower all other flavors. If I was to try this again, I would use canned tomatos instead and maybe add some green pepper.

I didn't use as much Italian sausage as the recipe called for, since my stomach objects. It was still delicious.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2002
I tasted the sauce before baking it with the chicken and was nervous about the pungent taste. However, the flavors mix well during baking and came out delicious.

Anzac Biscuits with Macadamia Nuts

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2002
Friends at work rated these between 3 and 5. Someone suggested adding chocolate chips. If I made these again, I would not toast the macadamia nuts. I didn't care for the toasted flavor.
