Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2013
I LOVE this recipe. The absolute only thing I change is leaving out the cinnamon (not a fan). Every time I make these cookies everyone raves about them. Even "I do not like oatmeal cookies" types love these. I have made them twice in the past week for two different office parties. They come together quick with mostly ingredients you'd have on hand anyway. I like to mix together with my hands once I add the oats and chocolate chips. You definitely need two cookie sheets, these make a lot of cookies. Don't worry when you take them out that they seem all goopy and fall-aparty, they set up very nicely after about 15 minutes.

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
I made this for dinner tonight and me, my husband, and our 9 month old all loved it! Baby skipped the peanuts of course, but this was mild enough to give to him. Next time I might add a bit more spice. It could be because I didn't use chili paste (I had none) and substituted with chili sauce. I used to always use a packet (filled with salt and msg) to make kung pao, but now that I have this recipe I never have to do that again. Thanks!

Slow-Cooker Posole

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
I followed this recipe pretty much exactly and it turned out wonderfully. My husband and I both loved it. We added both the posole and some rice to warm tortillas and wrapped them up like burritos. They were delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

Super easy and really delicious! I added some bacon to give it a smokey flavor, but other than that followed the recipe to a t. My husband and I will definitely be making this again.

Thai Green Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
My husband and I make this a lot, its our favorite after the pineapple curry. We use turkey breast dredged in cornstarch instead of chicken, just for a change of protein. Yummy!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
The seasoning in this was superb! I left out the chicken and used canned shrimp, because I don't have enough money to buy real shrimp, and it was great! We enjoyed it more than the boxed kind we used to make, so this will replace that, thanks so much!

Frog Eyed Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
This was great! I cut the recipe in half because its just my husband and I, and it still made enough to last us 4 days! I also left out the cherries and marshmallows. Finally, I made whipped cream from scratch rather than using cool whip.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
I made this pie pretty much according to the recipe, changing only the cook time (375 for 45 minutes), and I didn't add celery seed because I had none. It was DELICIOUS. My husband and I both loved it, and will be adding it to our regular rotation. I can't believe how flavorful the sauce was. Thanks for the great and simple recipe!

Japanese-Style Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
This salad was delicious! My husband and I lived in Japan for a couple years, and we're always looking for side dishes to go with our salmon and rice. This one was perfect! The only thing I didn't add was the almonds. I also replaced the sugar with honey. Everything else I followed to the letter. I can't believe how fast and easy this was to make, I will be making it many more times, I'm sure. Thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
I make this all the time when we are having company, people love it! I took the advice of others here and use golden mushroom soup, but sometimes I use roasted garlic cream of mushroom and that turns out really well, too. Thanks for this great recipe!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
These were great, my whole family loved them. I didn't have any chilies, but I did have a can of chipotle so I dumped that into the mix. They came out pretty spicy but good if you like spice! I also used butter instead of margarine. Thanks for the great recipe.

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
This marinade was great! I used it for chicken thigh meat, which I cut in small pieces for kabobs. The marinade kept the meat nice and tender while I scorched them on the grill, my grandmother and I loved it! I didn't have dried mustard so I used dried marjoram and dijon mustard instead. It turned out great! Thanks for this easy marinade!

Ham and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I made this quiche with some leftover ham, my entire family loved it! I made two and froze one for about two weeks. I popped the frozen one right in the oven and it baked beautifully, and tasted great. Good opportunity for batch cooking.

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
We liked this, but it was REALLY salty. And we cut the soy sauce in half and only used half a boullion cube. I like salt, but it was a bit much for my husband. If I do this one again I will use wine to cut the salt a bit.

Pecan Praline Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
My husband and I made these for a big party we were having (our wedding) as favors. Everybody raved about them and requested more. Now we know what to make for Christmas presents! These were so easy to make and took no time at all. We let the mixture just come to a boil, then poured all over our Walmart brand graham crackers. We lined the cookie sheet with tin foil. When they were done baking we removed the pan to a drying rack, and then after about 5 or 10 minutes pulled the entire cookie out of the cookie sheet (this is where the tin foil came in handy). We let this sit on the drying rack until cooled completely. Using a long straight knife, we cut in smaller pieces. We highly recommend this, thanks so much for this recipe!
