BBQ Country Style Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2015
These ribs were AMAZING! Tender and juicy and just awesome. I decided to remove the lemon slices before adding the bbq sauce, and the flavor was just incredible. :)

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
I absolutely love this sauce! It's perfect! And well worth getting fresh parmesan cheese. DO NOT, WHATEVER YOU DO, GET THE PRE-GRATED "fresh" IN A BAG CHEESE!!!! It won't melt. Get a wedge, grate it yourself, and you won't have problems. I've made this for Valentine's Day, my fiancee's birthday, and I'm making it again tonight, it's fantastic with steak (and sauteed mushrooms, YUM!!!) or shrimp as well as chicken!

Fruity Sweet and Sour Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
Sparkler, I think you are my new best friend. I am a sweet and sour fanatic, and have always always ALWAYS wanted a recipe that was restaurant quality, and this is definitely it! All I ever did differently was replace 2 tbsp cherry juice with 2 tbsp ketchup. I think I've made this 20 times or so, and now my whole family won't even go out for chinese anymore, they call me instead! By the way, no matter what you do, DO NOT FORGET TO COMBINE THE CORNSTARCH AND WATER!!! You will end up with a runny sauce with little white chunks of cornstarch in it. LOL Still tastes good, just the presentation goes out the window, and there's nothing quite like a lumpy sauce to make people nervous.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
So tasty, I will never buy a mix again. These were perfect to my taste of what a perfect waffle can be, crispy and a little fluffy. I know everyone's different when it comes to their likes, but for me and my family and everyone I've forced them on, they have loved them. This is definitely going into my little book o' brunch recipes.

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
These were so amazingly awesome that I could have sworn I was eating at a restaurant that serves these! If you want to avoid the mess of the mozzarella leaking out while frying, the solution is so simple it almost hurts . . . make sure it's coated evenly and well with the egg so that the bread crumbs have the whole surface to stick to. Sure, you may still get some melty cheese leaking here or there, but really, you're frying cheese, and if you expect that not to be messy then you've really never cooked before. I've made these 3 or 4 times now, and my fiancee and mom are always begging for more. They even microwave pretty well for mozzarella sticks (it helps them stay crispy if they're on a paper towel in the micro, just be careful that they don't start leaking, because they don't take long at all to reheat! 20-30 seconds or so). Oh, and add seasoned salt, garlic salt, and pepper to the breadcrumbs if you want a little extra oomph (or are lacking in dipping sauces! LOL My mistake the 2nd time around), otherwise a good bbq, ranch, or marinara goes great with these, with or without the added spices.

Blueberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
YUM YUM YUM!!!! As a life long coffee addict, coffee cake is probably my favorite food group (it should be a food group, anyway), and I have to say this recipe is just amazing. I used frozen blueberries, and have tried blending the cream cheese with the batter for one try (amazing, so moist) and cubing and dispersing the cubes (also wonderful and surprising!). Even my mom (who makes a lemon-blueberry coffee cake TO DIE FOR) asked me to make it again, and then again, then asked for the recipe, and maybe could I make it next week too? LOL Thank you so much, this is a new family favorite.

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
Just amazing in their simplicity, and it really makes people think you worked at it. LOL You should see the look on their faces when I give them the recipe, it's that priceless "there must be more to it than this" look.

English Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
I think the word I'm looking for is WOW! Not only are these a lot easier than you'd think, but even if you screw up and play with the dough too much after the first rise, they still come out tasting like australian toaster biscuits, which are amazing, but they do taste more like english muffins when toasted. I've made these 3 times now, and I have no idea how long they can last because they were always gone within 4 days. These things are awesome as little sandwiches, as a bread side for pasta, and even just with a little butter fresh out of the toaster. Or, better yet, fresh out of the oven. Be careful though, if you eat 3 or 4 as you're frying the rest, you will be more full than you think. Since, you know, you have to see if they came out right, and then see how a toasted one tastes, then maybe try one with some jam or honey, since you're waiting anyway, and they're just sitting there wafting their smells at you . . . LOL

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
If I could use one word to describe these, it would be ADDICTIVE! They really are just amazing. The only change I made to this was I took 1/4 c butter out of the peanut butter mix and instead used it to help melt the chocolate chips, and because I didn't have graham cracker crumbs, I crushed up graham crackers, and ended up not crushing them entirely (there were still some chunks, but it only added to the flavor). These are so good, they taste more and more like reese's the longer you have them refrigerated. It's really difficult to leave them alone in the fridge, though, once you've had one, they start looking lonely in the fridge, and maybe if I just cut a little off here, just to even it out . . . before you know it half the pan and a gallon of milk is gone, and you have a tummy ache like your first Halloween that you went overboard on the sweets. (I have no regrets LOL) Thank you for this amazing recipe!!! :)

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
This was an amazing recipe! I am a cookie addict, always looking for new recipes, and the only tweak I made to this one was I added a bit of cinnamon (probably 1/8th tsp or so, I just sort of throw it in at some point of the mixing process) and instead of the nuts, I added about 1 cup of white chocolate chips and WOW! Absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for posting it!!!
