About this Cook
I am a husband and a father of three boys who know how to eat me out of house and home. My beautiful wife loves to sample my cooking since her busy schedule necessitates me cooking or we might starve. Joking of course, she cooks sometimes :) I own a small business and blog as well at
My favorite things to cook
Chili, anything grilled, pork and lamb.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I wish I had some. Most of the recipes are gone with the family members who have passed.
My cooking triumphs
My wife thinks it is the "Almost Veggie Chili". One day I will try the short ribs again that did not turn out so well last time.
My cooking tragedies
See triumphs. I tried to cook a recipe my grandmother gave me for short ribs. The ribs required an hour in the oven and 24 hours of marinade soak. I promptly placed the finished product on the grill (last step) and burned it to a crisp.

Easy Baked Tilapia
Perfect easy recipe. To make sure there is no "fishy" flavour, try soaking the fish in milk overnight while defrosting!

Polish Meat and Potatoes
After learning the first time around, we elected to pan fry the meat separately from the rest of the meal. Then add once the potatoes are ready. This will avoid over cooking the potatoes with the lid on which will soften the potatoes too much.
