Big hit at parties! The garlic makes the recipe, it smells so good when it's baking!

Excellent recipe! It makes 3 large loaves, I normally roll mine flat put different fillings (fresh herbs, garlic, olives, cheese, bacon) on it before I roll it into a loaf.

Jalapeno Popper Wontons

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
I added mozzarella and used jarred jalapeno slices and they turned out so good! My boyfriend was eating them faster than I could make them! I don't really like baked wonton wraps but I would like to find a healthier alternative to frying them.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Oh my gosh, so good!! I plan on winning a dessert contest with this recipe! The only thing I changed was cutting the bake time by about 15 minutes. Other than that, it was perfect!

Bacon and Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
I used Hormel real bacon bits to cut a corner. Instead of butter I used olive oil. I added in some garlic and didn't really measure anything. I used baby bellas for the stuffing and they gave them a meatier taste. The only complaint I have is that they got kinda soggy from all of the liquid that came out. Next time I think I'm going to bake them on a cooling rack with a drip pan underneath. They were SO yummy!! :)

Cake Balls

Not really worth the work. I found that it was impossible to make them look perfect(like a lot of the pics), which was very frustrating.

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
It's a good starter recipe but even after doubling the spices it still tasted like it was missing something. I think it tasted more like cake than moist and more dense gingerbread I've had before. I might try it again and add vanilla pudding or something to give it a little more oomph.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This recipe was ok, it needed some doctoring. I used crushed tomatoes instead of sauce. I don't care for canned corn, so I used frozen corn. Also, I used 3 different types of beans (chili, white northern and black). The taco seasoning didn't seem to have enough flavor, so I added more spices and hot sauce.

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
We loved it! I think next time I will use a lot less sour cream and try olive oil instead of butter just to make it a little healthier. Also, I threw some white mushrooms in with the onion in the food processor to make the sauce thicker and more filling. Adding garlic to this recipe really made it taste yummy! Definitely a keeper!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
So much flavor!! I cooked Amish chicken strips in a pan, set aside, then made the buttery, mushroom and spinach sauce in the same pan to get some of the chicken flavor. I used frozen chopped spinach instead of canned, less butter and 2% milk instead of half and half. I put brown rice on the bottom of the pan, put the chicken on top and then topped with the creamy sauce. It cooked for 30 mins, the rice wasn't quite done so I added chicken broth and mozzarella and baked for another 15 mins. Next time I'll cook the rice before baking it. Very yummy!!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
This recipe tasted good but even after using low fat ingredients the dip still had a large amount of grease that puddled on top of the dip and in the bowl. For me, the taste isn't worth the greasy guilt. I'd rather just eat jalapeno slices on tortilla chips without all of the grease. Deleting from recipe box.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

I agree with other reviews, too sugary and not enough lemon. Also,I baked them for the lowest time the recipe called for and they still burned around the edges. Not a fan.

Watermelon Sangria

Excellent summer drink! I made it once and my mom and brother were begging me for the recipe! I used white zinfandel instead of dry white wine, I think it compliments with the fruit better. Also,I used frozen blueberries when I served it so it would keep the drink cooler for longer.

1-Dish Pepperoni Cheese Pizza Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
Very easy and very yummy! I put oregano and garlic powder in the dough to add to the flavor. A lot of people said their crust was mushy so before adding the sauce and toppings,I baked the dough for about 10 mins then added everything and continued to bake. I will definitely make it again!
