About this Cook
28, has an amazing boyfriend, who is a total skinny-minny and needs to be fed super filling foods...
My favorite things to cook
"homestyle" foods, love to recreate restaurant food. I love to cook Italian and Mexican or even Tex-Mex. I love love love love to GRILL!!! And I really want to take a step into beer brewing also.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cutting the end off the ham.
My cooking triumphs
My first white sauce/roux with out my mom standing right next to me...
My cooking tragedies
I added a ton of spice to some burgers, you know, just for grilling...it was the worst thing ever... I guess I must have had a phase with bad grilling, because that same summer I tried grilling a pizza and it so didn't work...

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style
I made this the first nite of a week long vacay with my uber sweetness Tay. HE LOVED IT! I used a whole package of cream cheese as to what other were saying. I also used the BIG can of 6-8 count of artichokes, and took the time to seperate them. It was so so so so good! I used Ragu' Roasteed Garlic Alfredo sauce, and it was seriously so wonderful! Since it was just the two of us, this was a huge amonut to make, but it reheated so well!!! Just a few minutes in the nuker and it was perfect! I served with tortilla chips, but next time I wann try to make an omelette with this as the filling...hmmmm?

Wisconsin Native's Beer Cheese Soup
I am rating it a 5 star. My boyfriend Tay (Aaron) loved it so much, he ate three bowls in ONE sitting!!! I decided to add some beer brats, so I fried/braised them in Guiness for like 20/25 minutes, then I started in on the soup...I had decided to use Guiness, but ugh, I would not use Guiness again. Mind you I LOVE BEER. But it was so strong of a flavor. I will use something maybe like a ROLLING ROCK or something along the lines of that. I also froze half the batch, and I hope that it turns out to be yummy in a month or so when I heat it back up.
