Quick and Easy Pizza Crust
This was my first time making my own pizza dough from scratch and I was drawn to how easy this recipe was! I used 2 1/4 tsp of yeast as someone suggested, since I had jarred yeast. And I didn't have bread flour, so I used 1 C self-rising flour and 1.5 cups wheat flour. I didn't roll out the dough very flat, so it was thicker and fluffier than I would have liked, but it was still delicious. I added some parsley, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper, and parmesan to add a little flavor - as I would do when making dough from a mix. Lots of oregano and garlic really punch it up! Great experience and I will use this recipe again.

Beer Biscuits
First, the changes I made: I replaced the 1/4 cup shortening with 3/8 cup of margarine. I added around 2 tablespoons of maple syrup (but I didn't end up tasting it). I also made these drop biscuits b\c I'm a lazy person. I used Leinenkugel's Red Lager as my beer. I was very pleasantly surprised with how these turned out! They are a little on the salty side but I think it really works. Some reviewers found the biscuits to be rather dry - and I could see how that could happen but the margarine (and upped dosage) really helped! These have a very buttery taste. I ate them with chili and they were great! Now I can't wait to slather some whipped honey on them to see how they taste with that! While I could taste the beer, I found it to be rather subtle. The beer flavor intensifies as they cool but I think even a beer-loather could appreciate the layer of complexity it adds to the flavor. All in all, a worthy Saturday morning breakfast treat!

Shortbread Cookies II
I added a dash of cinnamon to these as well as a dash of pumpkin spice. I ended up rolling them out and using cookie cutters, and sprinkled colored sugar on top. These cookies are absolutely amazing. Everyone who had some loooooved them. I also ended up with about 3 dozen cookies.
