Mom's Cucumbers

Simple and delicious. Didn't have celery seed so substituted dried dill weed. A great way to throw in a last minute veg with lunch or dinner!

Peanut Blossoms II

Great recipe! I substituted butter for shortening and baked at 350 with putting kisses on 1-2 minutes before finish time (at 8 min or so) as another suggested. Will definitely keep using this recipe.

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
I made these tonight--very easy! I followed the recipe exactly. They're soft in the center and crispy on the outside. The taste isn't very exciting but they're still very good. I might try rolling them in sugar next time. I actually made them tonight into cookie pops and will invite others to ice/decorate them for Halloween. That will probably add the needed kick of excitement. Overall they were really easy and turned out to look very nice and taste yummy. Would recommend to a friend!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
I love this recipe! I used it for a cookie exchange today and got so many compliments. I'm now printing out copies for friends. I use more than 2 tbsp of sugar and cinnamon to roll them in but otherwise I follow the directions exactly. Thanks!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
I've been looking for an easy recipe for Mexican rice that I could make at home. I was excited to find this one as I had most of the ingredients on-hand to make it at the last minute. I cooked the onions in oil first, and then added the rice. I didn't have tomato sauce, so I used the same measurement of diced tomatoes (included the juice and the tomatoes) and it still came out great. I will definitely make again! Thanks!
