Delicious Barbeque Sauce

What I really like about this recipe is that you can substitute mostly anything from sauces you have in your fridge. I was out of soy sauce, but I did have Gyoza sauce which includes soy sauce and used that. Came out great. Also, as many have done, I boiled it for about 15 minutes to thicken it.

Irish Barmbrack

I was frankly surprised at how good this was. I made it for a St. Pat's day party (held a few days before it) and it was devoured with oohs and aahs. Instead of sticking objects in the bottom, I made little fortune-cookie like strips of paper, wrote "predictions" on them and rolled them up, putting them in the hole in the center of the cake. Everyone was given one of these with each serving, and it was great fun reading them aloud one at at time.

Fresh Pear Pie

A wonderful change from apple pie. Use the best pears you can find, and a mix of different varieties makes it even better.

Italian Kale

Kale is a greatly underrated veggie and this simple preparation gives it an additional kick. I added some crispy onion bits (from Trader Joe's) and I think that made it even better.

Holiday Wild Rice

Very easy and the slight additions (red pepper, onions, and green onions, liven up a relatively bland dish. Excellent as a side dish with seafood.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

I made this for Christmas Eve dinner this year and it was fabulous. My friends and family oohed and aahed. The honey and pecan melds with the mustard to create a sweet, tangy flavor that is scrumptious. Use wild natural salmon if you can.
