These are delicious! I made no changes to the recipe and they turned out perfect! Thanks for the recipe, they will be our new favourite treat this Christmas!

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2012
First time making this sauce. I was looking for a quick, easy, pineapple-free recipe and this was it. I made it, threw in some pre-baked meatballs I had in the freezer and served it over rice. Amazing! Thank you for this recipe!!

Seasoned Potato Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
My family is VERY picky when it comes to their fries. They usually have to be done in a dutch oven full of oil. However, being a new year and committing to a healthier lifestyle, I tried these Seasoned Potato Fries. I made the exactly the way the recipe said to, except I left out the italian seasoning, thinking if I was messing with my families fries, I'd better make them remotely close to "fried"...They were a huge hit!! Even my husband who feels it's blasphemous to BAKE fries said we should do our fries like this all the time :-) Thanks for making me a hero to my family LOL!!

Nanaimo Bars III

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
The best I've made yet! The other recipe I used, barely yielded enough chocolate for the top, and was sickly sweet...this is amazing and I've had to make it twice this holiday season because my family ate them all! Excellent recipe!

Rolled Fondant

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
This recipe is identical to the one from the Wilton yearbook...I give it five stars because the Wilton one worked out, so this one would too. I used the gel food colouring instead of liquid for more accurate colouring...added while kneading the dough.

Bodacious Brownies

Excellent brownie recipe and ultra-easy to prepare, too! The pan didn't make it through dinner, I'm ashamed to admit! lol I will definately make this again.

Pizza Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
This is excellent. My kids usually won't eat food that is "all mixed up", but they ate this and asked for seconds. Same with hubby...he's very much a meat, veggie and potato man, but he loved this! I'm making it again tonight because it's fast & easy and we're in a rush :-)))

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
Absolutely fabulous!! I whipped it, once cooled to use as a filling for my daughter's birthday cake. Couldn't resist a taste and it blew my socks off! use the best chocolate you can find. I live in a small town, so I'm limited, but I used Swiss bittersweet and it was fantastic!

Super Easy Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Super easy, super fast and super good!! It's not everyday I can find a meal that everyone likes, but this did it!! Even my husband who was horrified I was going to turn perfectly good chicken breasts into chicken fingers loved them and said that it would for sure be acceptable to have again! LOL Thanks for a great recipe!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
These are excellent! I wanted a change from the usual oatmeal chocolate chip I make...and these were fantastic. I however didn't freeze them before putting them on a parchment covered baking sheet, nor did I roll in confectioners sugar. I just used a cookie dough scoop and baked them for 12 minutes..yummy!!!

Double Chocolate Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
I've never made biscotti in my life and shied away from it because I thought it was going to be difficult. I took the bull by the horns and decided to make this for our cookie plate for Christmas dinner. It was SO EASY! It cut like a dream using a serrated bread knife and though crunchy, it's not so crunchy as to crack a tooth like some biscotti I've eaten. Not over sweet, would be wonderful dipped in coffee or hot chocolate. So much for Christmas...I made them two days ago and they're gone. Guess I'm making more. Thanks for an easy and pretty fool-proof recipe!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
My goodness, this was excellent! I made the recipe exactly as written, except used Club House Tex-Mex seasoning on the chicken (not sure if it's the same as taco seasoning, but it's good). If I have my way, I will make this again...the hubby hasn't had the pleasure of trying it yet as he's on afternoon shift, but I'm sure he'll love it too. Thanks for the recipe - easy, inexpensive and very, very tasty!

Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
I'm giving this a five star rating! I loved it, my kids loved it (wonders will never cease!) and my husband raved about it!! Finally, a pork dish my kids don't freak out about. It was easy and very tasty. I transferred it to a casserole because my skillet can't go in the oven. I also didn't use the butter/olive oil to brown the medallions, I just used the bacon fat. Excellent! Thank you so much for recipe :-)

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
Five stars from me!! I have never been one to alter a recipe and rate it before even trying the "bare bones" version, but let me tell you, in my opinion, this recipe needs no tweaking! They are awesome and addictive! My husband is away from home today, and I'm not sure his share will survive waiting for him with two kids ready to eat them! They are so good and didn't take anytime at all to make. That's my kind of recipe!

Home Made Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
This was excellent! We had chicken burgers for dinner and realized I had no mayo for the buns. I looked up this recipe and made it. It was so quick and while I was afraid it wouldn't taste like "real" mayonnaise, I was pleasantly surprised! It looked and tasted just like real mayonnaise. I think we'll be making our own from now on and save some money! Thanks for a great recipe!!

Baklava

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
We have never attempted to make Baklava before and the thought of working with phyllo pastry scared the daylights out of me, but we made this for dessert tonight and I have to say it's to die for. I was skeptical that it wouldn't taste anything like I'd bought in our Greek bakeries, but it did! Even my daughter, who doesn't like nuts, ate this! The only thing we would do differently is to make a little more of the syrup that you pour over the top :-))

Apple Maple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
This is, in one word, excellent! My apple crumble recipe calls for a pie crust and since I'm trying to cut down a bit on fat and carbs, this was a better choice than my standby. I was skeptical just piling apples in a pan without a crust, but this turned out so yummy! A hit with three out of four family members, the fourth only not liking it because she doesn't like her apples baked! LOL Thanks for a definite do-again recipe!!

Onion-Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
So good! And so easy! I didn't use two types of potatoes because we wanted both potatoes and carrots roasted, so I subbed the sweet potatoes for carrots. We put them around a pork loin roast, did them for the time specified and OMG...mouthwateringly (if that's a word) awesome! Will make again, and although my kids refused to try them, my husband and I ate the entire pan! LOL

Pork Chops Over Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
I made this exactly as written with the exception of cutting back on the cayenne pepper. I think a tsp is too much. I put in a little less than half of that and it was plenty spicy enough for my kids and I..my husband probably would have put the whole tsp in, but he was out of town, so....lol I found the rice was absorbing the liquid a little too quickly and that would have resulted in undercooked pork chops, so I covered the pan and simmered for the 20 minutes. No problem with hard rice. It was cooked to perfection and the chops were so tender. I will definitely make this again. Even my 12 year-old daughter, who doesn't like you to mess with her rice LOVED this (pork isn't her fav and she didn't care for that part, but it's not the recipes fault).

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This was the first time making these cookies and they were absolutely wonderful. My children are my taste-testers when I try something new and they gave it a big two thumbs up! My only "complaint" if you can call it that is the recipe was to make 72 and I only got 57, and I didn't make them huge. Oh well! This one is definitely a keeper!
