White Bread For The Bread Machine

I just got a bread maker & this was the first recipe I tried. I've tried to make bread by hand & it turns out terrible. This was pretty good. I used AP flour & cut down on the yeast a wee bit but I still found it smelled yeasty, is this normal for homemade breads? And it seemed a bit dense?

McCormick® Gingerbread Men Cookies

These are pretty good. I usually use a recipe with real ginger but did not want the hassle of grating ginger so I used this recipe. The only downfall is they are not gingery enough for a gingerbread cookie. I will use this recipe again, I'll just use more ginger.

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

When I lost my grandma's recipe, I found this one, which was very close to hers. I made them a few months ago & they came out beautifully. Like my grandma's, I piped mine with a piping bag & star tip. I didn't make them very big, just the right size to to pop in your mouth & let it melt away. So starting my Christmas baking this weekend, I came back to this recipe. I read the reviews about decreasing the amount of flour. They seemed to whip up just like my gram's. I piped them out & baked them. They spread out like pancakes when cooked & didn't taste good at all. So I tried the recipe according to directions. As I was mixing, the mixture was not coming together, so I added a bit more butter, not quite 1/4c. They seemed to whip up great. My husband piped them out, a little bigger than what I do. I baked them & they spread out a bit. When cooled, I tasted & they did not taste good at all. I don't know what went wrong but I've never had this much trouble making cookies.

Double Chocolate Biscotti

Easy to put together, but it crumbled when I sliced it. It was quite crisp enough for a biscotti, but still delicious.

Amish White Bread

this recipe was a total fail for me. It took more than 30 minutes in the oven & still wasn't completely cooked. It was also to sweet for a white bread.

Caramel Popcorn

It was delicious! My husband used to be a chef so I let him make the caramel since he knows what to do more than I do. It turned out fantastic. I couldn't keep my hands out of the bowl!

Mom's Ginger Snaps

the first time I made these, they burned on the bottom. The second time they came out much better. I find they don't need quite 10 minutes. I like them a bit more spicy, so I put more ginger in the 2nd time. This is a great recipe!
