i tried very hard to follow this recipe completely, but was unable to. Sadly my local grocery store doesn't have canned chili peppers. Grrr. I used a little more of the jalapenos (jarred not canned.. same reason) and cut up a fresh pepper of an unknown name. i know it to be extra spicy so i took out most of the seeds. because of the changes i couldn't help (and the fact that i took out most of the seeds of the one item that was hot), the dip was way to mild. i ended up adding a shake of a chili sauce. little shake, not much. despite all the changes i couldn't prevent.. the dip was very well liked. it had the yumminess of the jalapeno peppers without being overpowering for those who don't like spice. sadly, I didn't get to take any home. next time i will make some to keep at home too!
