Honey-Poached Quince Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
We changed ours quite a bit. We added apples, pears and blackberries, but otherwise followed the recipe. It was wonderful and was gone in an instant. We did follow the advice in the recipe and used a homemade crust (always the best!) Thank you for this recipe.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Love, Love, Love these! I ran the kitchen at a backpacking school in Scotland and these were a staple on every hike. I love how I can change up the fruit with coconut, chocolate, and so many other combinations. I have passed this recipe on to many other moms..

Wheat Crackers

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
I made mine tomato basil and they were great. My kids loved them. I would definitely follow the advice to roll them as thin as possible. The thicker ones are so hard it is hard to eat them. They will not be crispy right out of the oven, but have to cool first.

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
Have made this recipe several times and my family loves it every time. Thank you. We have never tried to split it to make pita pockets, but somehow the consistency of the bread does not seem like it would work. Not like store bought pita at all. Better tasting, but not as functional.

Garlic Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
Made this for company and they loved it. I omitted the pork for a vegetarian side dish. Tonight I am making it for company again, but this time I am adding veggies and making it the main dish. Thanks for the recipe.

Candy Coated Pretzels

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
We added cinnamon to ours (yum!) and mixed the pretzels with the coating in a bowl first and then put them on the baking sheet for better coverage. We did have to bake them about 10 minutes longer. Loved the idea. We will definitely make them again. Thanks for the recipe. The coating reminded my family of my homemade caramels.

Sugar Cream Pie V

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2014
I made this for my dad's birthday because sugar cream pie is his favorite. He said that this was the best sugar cream pie he had ever had! My family all really loved it too. It was too good to make only one pie and the next time I made it, I made three.

Buckeye Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
super yummy. I like these much better than the cheater buckeyes my family makes. They just mix peanut butter and vanilla icing for the middle. I think the middle of these are so much more rich.

Ashley's African Peanut Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
It was okay. My kids did not love it. It was pretty different than West African peanut stew I had had before. I did appreciate the fact that I could even find a recipe on here to work with for West African peanut stew and Ashley did not claim that it was authentic, but her own version. It was a fun adventure.

Savory Zucchini Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
I did not have sun dried tomatoes or peppers. I did not shred the zucchini first because it was going into the food processor anyway and it worked great. My kids loved these. I made them as mini muffins so they could just pop them in their mouths. They were a little bland, but will definitely make them again.

Deep Dish Potato and Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
nice, but a little bland. It needed something. One of my daughters gave it a 9 and the other a 7, so I'll give it 4 stars. For me it was only worth three, but I have to appreciate something that is a hit with my family.
