I love to cook, I have been cooking since I was 9 years old. I'm 55 now and have never lost the love of preparing food for family and friends. I am now starting a new phase in my life, I was divorced in 08 after 30 years so I'm starting over. I have 2 children and 2 grandsons. Whom I have introduced to cooking and they love being in the kitchen with me. I had gastric bypass in Jan. 09 so I don't get to eat a lot of the things I cook but I still love doing it. My dream has always been to open a catering business and I am now seeing my dream come true.
My favorite things to cook
The first thing I ever cooked was Porcupine Meatballs in a pressure cooker, I guess my mom had a lot of faith in me, LOL.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family love's for me to cook, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Now that we are all taking better care of our selves the fried has become baked. To make sure the chicken is moist I use bone-in chicken.
My cooking tragedies
I cannot make fudge at all. I either cook it to long or not long enough. I have tried easy fudge, microwave fudge, fudge with marshmallow cream, it just will not turn out. I don't eat it anyway so I just don't try now. lol
