Homemade Butter

I started this in the blender (I don't have a food processer) and when it started to thicken up it was hard to keep it down where the blades were. I ended up scraping it all out of the blender and into a bowl where I finished it with a hand mixer. After all that, it was definately worth the effort! My mom was so impressed and said she hadn't had butter this good since her Grandma used to make butter on the farm. I will definately be making it again (but with the mixer from the start!)

Easy Cheesy Skillet Chicken

This has to be so bad for you... but it really is tasty! I added some additional water to the soup and stirred in a box of instant hash brown potatos which soaked up most of the gravy as they cooked. My husband loved it!

Scrumptious Sauerkraut Balls

Very good! A friend had made something like these for a Christmas party a few years ago so I was happy to find this recipe. I made them for a superbowl party and kept them warm in a crock pot set on low. There weren't any leftovers!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Just ok. The pastry came out kind of soggy which just ruined it for me. Tasted ok, but the texture wasn't to my liking.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Mine didn't come out as sticky as I might have liked. The skin was so tough that you could barely cut it. But, the meat underneath had a very nice flavor and was really moist. I dont' know if I would go through the bother to make it again (easier to pick one up at the grocery!) but it was good.

Poochie Meat Cakes

I swear I have the pickiest dog in the world. We have tried about 5 different kinds of high end dog food and ended up throwing most of it away. But she LOVES these. She's just a little thing (about 10 lbs) so we give her half a cake twice a day. She is now a card carrying member of the Clean Plate Club!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

This was good, but I'm not sure it was worth the effort. Try as I might, I couldn't get the chicken breasts flattened enough to roll them so just sort of folded them over the filling. But they looked ok, and tasted pretty good. Everybody seemed to like them.

Italian Wedding Soup I

This was good for a first attempt. I made it according to the recipe, except used spinach as they didn't have escarole at the grocery store. Next time I will bake the meatballs to brown them up a little better. They were kind of grey and unappealing, but tasted good.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

I gave this recipe 3 stars because everybody ate it, but nobody asked for seconds. It just came out a little gray and, even though I cooked it for over an hour, the pork wasn't very tender. On the other hand, the gravy was very tasty over mashed potatos but that was about the only good thing about this recipe. Probably won't be making it again.

Hot Dogs 'n' Rice

This was a good starter recipe. One of the other reviewers mentioned that it was like jambalaya so I added to it to give it a little more of the jambalaya flavor. I added minced garlic to the vegtetables and I added cayenne, alspice, cumin and a bay leaf and put all the water and tomatos in at once and simmered it until the rice was tender. I found that it needed more than the 1 1/2 cups of water called for. I probably added another cup during cooking to keep it moist. We really enjoyed it and will probably make it again. Thanks for the recipe!

Cranberry Sauce

This tastes just like the cranberry sauce that my great grandmother used to make, without all the fuss! Just make sure you watch it as it is cooking... I boiled mine all over the stove. What a mess! But worth the cleanup!

Berdean's Cube Steak

Best way to make cube steak EVER! Even my mom who is not a fan of beef liked it. Make sure you watch that it does not cook dry. I keep adding beef broth (or Better than Bouillon dissolved in water) as it cooks to keep it moist. The gravy is fantastic on mashed potatos.

Taco Quiche

What an easy and delicious dinner! We have changed up the ingredients in this recipe to make other quiches and it comes out great every time! We have done breakfast sausage and cheddar cheese and ham and swiss cheese. Fantastic!

PHILADELPHIA Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake

This cheesecake is so good. I skipped the mousse layer and the plain vanilla cheesecake was fantastic! I used the hints and added some vanilla bean seeds to add to the vanilla flavor.
