Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
these were yummy! i added some dried cranberries to the mix and used less honey and added orange juice like other reviewers suggested. they were still sweet with the brown sugar! however i had some beefs with this recipe - the sweet potato baking time was not enough, it was easy enough to peel but did not mash well it was still hard and i ended up with chunks of potato in the muffins. also i only had one muffin dish which made 12 so i ended up using a lot more mix per muffin but they took so long to cook and were still underdone. maybe that was my fault i suppose. they were still super good though i will make them again!

Spinach Pomegranate Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
delicious! i made this with minimal ingredients and it was still delicious! i used regular spinach and didn't have any red onion, walnut, feta, or alfalfa. but i did use cubed cheddar cheese and an avocado it was fantastic anyway! thanks :)

I did as other reviewers said and added 1/4 cup more butter and 1/3 cup more white chocolate chips because they're my favourite. they turned out fabulously! i will be making these again!

Tomato Spinach and Basil Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
delicious! i liked that it was still a nice hearty soup! i made the tomato puree from scratch (mostly just peeled, seeded and blended up 6-7 tomatoes) and added more garlic ( a small bulb of local garlic). the garlic was not too overpowering it was sweet and tasty. also i added 1 teapoon of sugar instead of a tablespoon. added a mixture of fresh and dried basil since basil isn't really in season right now. i served with a french baguette my boyfriend and i loved it :) nice hearty soup

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
delicious! i've never made a pie before so i used an instant mix for the crust. it turned out perfectly! i added garlic to it and garlic powder instead of celery salt. i even forgot to add the frozen peas but it was still delicious. i also followed some users review and added potatoes and doubled the sauce mixture. i ended up having to make two pies because it wouldn't all fit into one pie plate. my boyfriend and i didnt complain though, it was great! will definitely be making this again!

Gypsy Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I made this soup on a cold day, was it ever delicious! I doubled the recipes cause i had to get rid of a lot of vegetables so they wouldn't go bad. I also followed some other users reviews and added curry powder in place of turmeric and soy sauce. I also used fresh green beans from the farmers market instead of garbanzo beans. i found it a bit on the salty side however. very delicious though my boyfriend loved it!
