Aebleskiver

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Excellent recipe! I was raised eating Aebelskivers on special occasions and this is just the BEST recipe I've ever used. We added 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, which was just the right touch. Enjoy!

Wild Blueberry Chicken Sausage Breakfast Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
Absolutely delicious! Big hit with friends for brunch today. I actually used Aidells Chicken & apple smoked chicken sausage, and Ezekial bread (sprouted grain bread)....terrific! Will make again and pass along to family.

Paleo Slow Cooker Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
Fabulous flavor! Reminded me of an exotic Moroccan or Indian dish. I didn't have potato starch, so I substituted corn starch, which worked fine. And I added a mixture of dried cranberries, golden raisins, cherries and blueberries instead of the raisins and it added an unexpected and welcomed flavor! Served over brown/wild rice mixture, which was a great compliment. Done in 5 hrs (2 on high, 3 on low). Highly recommend!

Moroccan Fig Pork Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
One of the best meals I've ever made! The pork comes out SO moist. I made up my own garam masala and fig compote just by searching the internet for substitutes, and I also finished it off in a crock pot on high for 2.5 hrs (for a 2.5 lb roast). Even with these minor alterations, it was fabulous! I also kept all the other proportions the same despite reducing the roast to 2.5 lbs. You won't regret making this...especially for company!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
Delicious flavor, but WAY too heavy on the butter/oil for my taste. Could cut butter in HALF and use little to no oil and I'd be happy. I also broiled the bread a little before I put it in the soup and thought that was a nice crunchy addition. Also omitted the sherry and still had excellent flavor. Will definitely make again! Enjoy!

Veggie Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
I didn't really care for this, no offense. Too sour tasting, and too creamy/mushy. And I had to cook it for about an hour. But I did have to make my own Bisquick, so maybe that was part of the problem. Hope it turns out better for everyone else! It sounded good.

Rosemary-Scented Pork Loin Stuffed With Roasted Garlic, Dried Apricots and Cranberries and Port Wine Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2013
FABULOUS! Would be a show-stopper for company! I reduced the recipe for a 2 lb pork tenderloin, and next time, would cut the apricots in half because they were sticking out a bit with such a smaller "roll" of meat. I may try to cook this in a crock pot next time as well too...anyone have a guess as to how long that would take?

Lighter Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
DELICIOUS! I used whole wheat "regular" noodles and DID NOT cook them prior, and it turned out perfectly fine. Not too watery, either. I also substituted 1 yellow squash and 1 zucchini (both quartered) for the carrots and loved this addition! I'm also allergic to dairy, so I only put the cheeses on one side and this worked great as well... "my" side wasn't too dry and had plenty of flavor. This will be a big hit for company :)

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
Fabulous!!! We didn't have dried garlic, so I used fresh and it was still great. Marinated for about 4 hours, and halved the recipes for just 2 steaks, and proportions worked perfectly. Highly recommend!

Greens with Cannellini Beans and Pancetta

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
I agree with the last entry--too dry and greens didn't wilt enough. Definitely would add chicken broth to make it better, as it is pretty bland. I also used pancetta and i think next time I'd use bacon for more flavor.
