Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I have made this cake twice so far. Te first time I made it following the recipe as is. the second time, I don't know what I did wrong but the frosting seemed to runny but tasted fine so I put it in a triffle dish. not only did it lok pretty but tasted yummy. This is hoe I am making it again mistake or not. it was just easier to put together and my guests loved it!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Didn't like these, took a long time to roll into all the little balls, and a long time to dip them in the chocolate. I found them way too sweet. Will not make again.

Colonial Hot Buttered Rum

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
This is SO GOOD! I made this for my New Years Day party and everyone loved it and asked for the recipe! However I had to make a few adjustments to what I had on hand. My crockpots were occupied so I had to make it on the stove. I melted the butter over med High heat added the brown sugar and 3 tsp ground cinnamon (I didn't have any sticks)and mixed well( like when making cookies) added the water, I used 2 tsp all spice( Didn't have cloves) added the pinch of salt. brought this to a full boil, then lowered the heat to low, covered and LEFT IT ALONE FOR 3 HRS. right before serving I turned the heat OFF added the rum( I used Captian morgans spiced rum) served in mugs and topped with whipped cream! will make this many more times this winter and every winter!

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
I made these today, the tast was yummy, my kids ate them up! good quick recipe! the only problem I had was my dough was very sticky, I had trouble kneading and rolling, had to use alot of flour to dust the counter with, but maybe I did something wrong, but that did not interfere with the tast. will make again!

I married into a big hunting family and my freezer is stocked with venison, this is a great meal! will make again and again!

Dreamy Nighttime Drink

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Ok, this is good as is, but this is what I did to make it to my taste... increased the honey like other reviewers suggested, used pumpin spice also, and extra vanilla. I made this in my latte/cocoa maker and it was so good and frothy. I like Chai tea and this was very good without the cost of going to a coffee shop!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
I thought this was good, but not great, my kids and husband liked it and it was easy to make, they did ask for it to be made again, but I am used to salisbury steak having more of beef gravy,I think next time I make this I will try using a jar of homestyle beef gray instead of the gravy in the recipe. The patties were good and worth making again. Although my husband said not to change a thing!

Microwave Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
I made this today because I wanted lemon curd for a coffee cake I am making. I usually make it on the stove, but thought I would give this a try. it was very easy to make, and tastes wonderful! Itr just hasn't thickend up yet and it's been 3 hrs. I am going to try like another reviewer tried and add some lemon juice to corstarch and thicken on the stove. I did cook it for 6 min. in the microwave and it coated the spoon, but still not thickening. will update after the cornstarch. also I do plan on trying this recipe as is again in the future and cook it a little longer in the microwave. ok so I added the cornstarch lemon juice and cooked on stove, thickend nicely and didn't change the flavor. Yummy! I will try again in the microwave and hopefully will have better results, maybe I did something wrong!
