Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
I was sick with a sinus infection and fever when I attempted to make this.I thought I had everything I needed, but found out too late i didn't. I hate when people review a recipe they didn't follow, but today I am one of them, just bevcause it worked out so well. I didn't try it but dh and my kids loved it! first i used italian bread crumbs all I had on hand. was out of beef broth but had 2 packets of brown gravy which i didn't use the flour called for because gravy thickens. didn't have cooking sherry but used a dry white wine. also since i doubled the recipe after browning the patties in oil I put them in a 9x13 pan finished the gravy in the skillet poured it over the patties and baked 350 for 30 min. made 13 patties after feeding dh , 2 teenage boys, and 2 kids I only have 2 patties and a little gravy left. served over mashed potatoes.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
This ice cram is so easy to make nad so good. even my husband who is not a fan of ice cream loved it.the only thing I might change next time is reduce the sugar a little , it was a little too sweet. Also I don't have an ice cream machine, so what i did was cook on the stove as directed, then poured into the metal bowl of my kitchen aid mixer let cool. then I put it in the freezer and every half our took it out and mixed for 5 min with my KA for 4 hours. well worth effort. can't wait to try other flavors.

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
This frosting is so good. Cream cheese frosting is my go to frosting but I was looking for something lighter and this was perfect. My frosting was a little soft, still pipped, just not as well as I hoped, but that is probably my fault since I was nervous of over whipping it. will make again.

Kalacs (Hungarian Cinnamon Swirl Bread)

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
This bread is amazing! will be making often! I read the reviews first so I made a couple of changes based on what I read read. First I used 1/2 bread flour, 1/2 all purpose. the bread was light and fluffy will do that from now on., second I used 1/3 cup sugar in the dough itself, as some people said it wasn't sweet enough. I think it made it too sweet. will use only the 1/4 cup as recipe states. I doubled the filling recipe but trippled the cinnamon. was so good. I also soaked 2 cups of raisins and added them to the dough.
