Rosie's Bok Choy Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
This is my favorite salad!!! Been making it for years. I saute bite sized chicken pieces with a little sesame oil to go on top and make a meal. I also prefer toasted sesame seeds. Make sure you brown the topping well enough or it doesn't bring out the flavor!!! There is always left-over ramen topping and we eat it for a snack.

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
My friend brought this cake to my house and it was the best cake I have ever eaten. It was so light and fluffy and the flavor was unbelieveable. I'm baking it this weekend.

Chicken and Gnocchi Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
I give this three stars because it has possibilities. I liked it better before adding the 1/2 and 1/2. The dairy just diluted the flavor. Maybe try adding a pinch of nutmeg since it goes great with greens and milk based soups. There are so many other great soups out there that this one is not a keeper at my house.

Deep Fried Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
Pickle spears NEVER!! Only chips will do!! The trick is to rinse the pickles first or they are very salty. The only way they become oily is if your oil is not hot enough when you fry them. This was a great recipe.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
Bet the recipe is meant to say use tomato paste with water and not tomato sauce with water!! You would never add water with tomato sauce but do with paste. Made modifications of other users and they were great.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
I followed the directions exactly and the gravy was too strong and somewhat bitter. I doctored it by putting it in a pan, adding a slurry of flour, beef cube and water. It took a lot of extra water and a little 1/2 and 1/2 to get rid of the bitterness. I typically make my own gravy and will do so in the future. The roast however was very tender and after the extra effort, the gavy was great.
