About this Cook
A mother of 2 great children and married to a wonderful man. I have been cooking and baking since I was 8 years old. When I am not working at "the world's largest retailer" managing the overnight shift, I am reading cooking magazines, watching the Food Channel, cooking, or teaching someone how to cook or bake.
My favorite things to cook
I think above all, I love to bake. I love to try new recipes out on my family, and rarely are they disappointed. In the summer I love to use all of the fresh vegatables and fruit available, especially on the grill.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family loves food, and loves to cook, on all sides and even extended family. We all swap recipes regularly and are very often eating a meal while talking and planning the next one.
My cooking triumphs
I have rarely had something fail, especially desserts. I love to expose someone to cooking, as I have found many people don't like to cook, and many children aren't being taught these days.
My cooking tragedies
The one cooking tragedy that sticks with me is Homemade White Bread. I love it, and would bake it every week, but after attempting it once many years ago, haven't tried it since. I was so disappointed I can't get up the nerve to try it again. Can't explain it!

So fresh and tasty. I was happy there were so few ingredients, and it is better than any I have had in a restaurant.

Fish Tacos
Having eaten fish tacos at a beach restaurant in San Diego, I have been searching for a recipe like them. This is as close as you get, especially if you use grilled fish. The sauce is EXCELLENT, and totally makes the recipe.
