When I made this dish, my son and daughter-in-law were over with their little ones. They didn't stay for dinner but they did taste it and asked for the recipe! I used only 1 lb. of ground beef, a can of tomato soup instead of tomato sauce, a 15-oz. can of petite diced tomatoes, and a 15-oz. can of stewed tomatoes. I added one beef bouillon cube, about 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. I also added 1 1/2 cups brown rice and 3 cups more water. I cooked it on the stove top in a large dutch oven for an hour stirring frequently. The rice took a long time to cook. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. The Worcestershire sauce is probably unnecessary. I feel if I followed the recipe exactly it would have been just as delicious. A great tasting, easy to prepare meal!
