Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
This is my FAVORITE chicken noodle soup recipe! I make this every single time one of us gets sick- cold, flu- whatever- and everytime it seems to get us feeling better fast. The only thing I do differently is I cook the chicken in the oven before I throw it in the pot. Don't ask why, I just always have.

Asian Tuna Patties

You can definitely taste the sesame oil, which I like. I did over-cook these a bit though, so they had somewhat of a burnt taste...oops. Just make sure you don't get your oil TOO hot like I did & they'll come out nicely!

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
This one was ok, not to give a "bad" review, but like one other person who posted I thought this lacked any kind of special flavor...just tasted like a regular roast to us. Came out nice and moist though!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
Five stars!!! This is our favorite enchilada recipe hands down! I didn't change a thing either, ( except this last time I left out the green onions just to save my husband the heartburn, but they were still "awesome!) everytime, it never fails. Thank you for posting this one!

Stuffed Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
I just made this last night and both my husband & I LOVED it! You really do taste the ketchup, so if you're not crazy about ketchup, I suppose you could just use tomato sauce instead. Personally I thought it came out just fine the way it was written though- except I did add some shredded mozzarella cheese on top for the last ten minutes of cooking, ( just because we love cheese on everything....) and I also browned the ground beef before I added it to the mixture. It came out great- I'll definitely be making this one again!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
I love this recipe- makes for a great meal on the occasional nights that I don't want a meat-oriented dinner : ) I'll just make these along with some kind of rice side dish & a nice salad! I do follow other reviewers tips on how to keep them from falling apart though, they can be a bit crumbly if your not careful.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
Both my husband & I LOVED this! I too used chicken broth instead of white wine like other reviewers had mentioned, ( just because I didn't have any white wine on hand,) used about 2/3 of the can and it made plenty of sauce. I did only use three large chicken breasts instead of 6 though, and I cut them into strips before cooking so that they'd cook faster. I'll definitely be making this again! Thanks!

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Love these cookies! I brought some into work for a bake sale & they were a big hit. The only things I did differently was to substitute 1 tsp vanilla extract ( I doubled the recipe ) for the 4 Tbls of brandy- only because I didn't happen to have any brandy at the time- and I used fresh cranberries instead of dried. I followed another reviews suggestion to put the cranberries in the oven ( I did mine with a good bit of water in the pan too) at 225-250 for about 15 minutes to soften them up before I chopped them. I think I'll make these part of my holiday cookie assortment this year, Thanks!

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
The only reason I gave this recipe three stars was due to the texture- I don't know what I did wrong- but I'm going to have to try this one again sometime. The flavor is great, and they did cook into nice patties, ( though there was no way I would be able to form them into patties before placing them on the griddle,) but the inside was very mushy, even after they had been cooked for a good amount of time. I squeezed out as much moisture from the chopped veggies as I could, and even added a little more flour...maybe I used too much flour? In any case, although I couldn't get the texture right this time, the flavor was nice enough that I will try again!

Hamburger Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2013
Thanks for posting this, we love it! I made a few changes to it though, just out of personal preference- I omitted the can of tomoatoes, added some fresh mushrooms, & only added 4 cubes of bouillon rather than all 6. Also tried something another reviewer had mentioned- I just added about a half teaspoon of majoram instead of the basil- good suggestion! I love how you can really customize this recipe to make it however you like- I will definitely be making this again & again.
