Chicken and Rice Pot Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
The only reason this was a 3 star meal is because most of the rice did not cook. It was very good otherwise. A little bit too much for my casserole dish, but good. The puff pastry kind of shrunk up a bit, so I would definitely roll out to be a little bigger than the dish. Also, it did take longer than 20 minutes for the puff pastry to get brown. We'll try it again, just pre-cooking rice.

Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
Good flavor, and I don't like the vegetables used! My 18-mo old even had some. Only thing I did differently was I used 1/2 regular italian sausage and 1/2 hot. It makes a lot, though! We will be making this again.

Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
very good. we added a full 2 cups of cheese, but we like cheese in this house. :) next time, i won't add as much dill. not a big fan and it's a little overpowering. on the whole, it went over VERY well!

Pork Chop Potato Casserole

i'd rather go the easy route with boxed au gratin potatoes and pork chops!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
liked it. after reading some of the reviews, i followed the advice to use only one egg and a bit less milk, and used italian seasoned bread crumbs. i also put a little of brown sugar and ketchup/worchestershire sauce in the bottom, baked the meatloaf, poured off the grease and then poured more brown sugar/ketchup/worchestershire on top and baked a little longer. the brown sugar/ketchup on the bottom created a little bit of a "crust" and was delicious!

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
delicious! i followed some other advice and used a thermometer. i waited for it to boil and then watched the thermometer slowly move up to the soft ball stage. i mixed in the marshmallow, then waited for the temp to drop a bit before adding the pb. i forgot the vanilla, but it turned out great!!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
delicious! i used a bit more peanut butter in my batch because who can't use a little more peanut butter in life? husband had five right away! i do not have a mini muffin pan, so i just rolled into balls and baked them that way.

Buffalo Chicken Dipping Balls

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
pretty good! i didn't use the whole cup of hot sauce, and we just had sharp and medium cheddar. only thing i didn't like about them was the cheese inside didn't really melt. maybe it was the cheese i used? we had these for our super bowl meal...went over well!

not a fan...but i don't like cream cheese too much. i think that was the problem for me with this recipe. i also thought that the chicken was very dry.

Chicken-Fried Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
so good! the pork chops were tender and fell apart so easily just with a fork. we had to use cream of mushroom soup, as we didn't have cream of chicken, but it was great! i don't know if we'll use chicken or mushroom next time... i definitely recommend this to all! i've never been a fan of pork chops, but that's changing very quickly!

thought it was great. only used 1 can of tomatoes and substituted the other for a can of tomato juice. not big tomato fans in this house, but it was still good!
