Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
These were wonderful. Threw everything into a gallon ziplock bag to coat the potatoes. Yummy

Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I completely forgot the red onion but this still tasted great. I added a few dashes of red pepper sauce too. Served over rice but husband suggested to serve in fajitas next time. Great flavor.

Healthier Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
Very surprised this turned out great as I usually have trouble with brown rice turning out crunchy. I think maybe the key is instead of simmering the rice like I usually do that I followed this recipe and cooked on medium-low. VERY good. I added cinnamon.

Made this with regular spaghetti sauce and mushrooms. Turned out very good.

Rainbow Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
This was very very good. I added cheese and olives and did as others suggested by adding the carrots and broccoli to the last 3 minutes of pasta cooking. Marinated salad overnight and then served at dinner the next day. These kind of salads are always better after they've sat for awhile.

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2011
Used 2 cups of sugar and it was almost too sweet. I would suggest 1.5 cups. Had a baby shower with 40 people and the punch needed 3 2 litters to serve everyone. Kept the same amount of slush and just used more lemon/line.

Maple Syrup and Banana Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
This was a great syrup for a banana fritata recipe I found on this site. I would love to find one that is a little thicker than this recipe but this was really good and easy to make.

Southern Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
Halfed the recipe and it was plenty for our family of 4. Definitely need double the chicken broth. Also...it needs to cook for more like 30 minutes unless you like your beans and potatoes crunchy. Balsamic Vinegar gives it a nice flavor.

Christmas Sandwich Cremes

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
These are always a family favorite at Christmas. I used the cap off a bottle of vitamins for the larger cookies and a cap off a bottle of water for the mini-version. We call these "hamburgers". Used a ziplock bag with corner cut to squeeze the filling in.

I've made better....these were too hard and didn't have the same soft melt in your mouth taste as other's I've made.

Bone-In Ham Cooked in Beer

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
20lb ham. I may have overcooked a little but it ended up being about 5 hours. I cooked in a turkey bag coated bag with 1 T flour (to prevent bursting) and poured 2 bottles of honey weiss beer. The ham was sooooo good. Next time I'll check thermometer more often to prevent over-cooking.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
I used 6 chicken breasts which was plenty and next time will make without the whole tomatoes. Definitely a hit with everyone! Made enough to freeze another whole meal. Made a 2nd time and cut recipe in half. Left out the chili powder. It made PLENTY for our family of 4 with leftovers.

Praline Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
Was easy and looked good. We didn't like the rum taste AND I halfed the rum amount in both the filling and topping. I doubled the crust recipe and the crust was delicious and the right amount. I also did the water bath method and used a regular cake pan greased good with wax paper on the bottom. For the final 10 minutes I actually turned the oven off and left the cheesecake in for an hour and half since I needed to run errands and wanted to make sure it was set. We chilled for about 5 hours and cut with a warmed up knife. It presented itself well.

It was alright. We think it would have been better with green onions and ground beef instead of sausage.

Simply White Bread II

My daughter doesn't like sandwiches unless they are on white wonder bread. I gave her this bread for her sandwich and she begged me to make it everyday! She loves it! Very easy to make! Set the delay function so the bread smells so good as we are waking up!

Breakfast Burritos

These were great and I followed the recipe almost exactly. I did add salsa and wrapped each individually in foil and kept warm in the oven. The foil made them easy to hold and eat. My whole family loved them.
