Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Husband and I love this any time of year. Easy to make, just toss thawed chicken breast, soup, water, and spices (including chopped onions, pepper, salt) into the pot and let it go for about five hours on high. Add the biscuits at about three and a half hours in for perfection. You don't have to tear them, you can just add them whole, too, either tastes great. Definitely make sure to add salt and pepper though. Chicken comes out moist and falling apart on the spoon.
I also add a bag of fresh baby carrots in the beginning - comes out nice and tender, not mushy at all.
