Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
It was just okay. Unfortunately, I think the potatos we paired it with overpowered the pork.

Sausage Casserole I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
I precooked the pork and microwaved the potatos ahead of time (as suggested by other reviewers). It still seemed to take a little while. I was also surprised the recipe didn't call for more seasoning. Iw ent ahead and seasoned the pork sausage when I was browning it - adding some garlic, salt pepper, and red chili flakes. I also used a can of diced tomatos with jalapenos and it seemed to add a little more kick. Even with all that my boyfriend complianed the potatos tasted bland. I crumbled some jalepeno flavored tortilla chips over the top for a little crunch too. I like it, but it needed some serious "tweeking."

Spicy Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
It really wasn't spicy at all. It was just another piece of chicken with some seasoning.

Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
If we could give this a 3 1/2 we would. We gave it a little boost because the leftovers were great. I was a little upset it never really thickened up. It was a little soupy. I cooked it just as the recipe said, but it just stayed as a liquid. We paired it with honey cornbread muffins and it had great flavor.

Beefy Potato Volcano

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
This was like thanksgiving in my mouth. My only real complaint was there was not enough gravy in the recipe. if you make this dish be sure to add MORE. I had to run to the store to get more in the middle of cooking it. We tried the leftovers with pasta and it just wasn't the same. The potatos really make it work.

Sausage and Broccoli Skillet

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
We really enjoyed this recipe. We used mild italian sausage instead of the sweet sausage the recipe calls for. Even with that it definitley needed the crushed red pepper for more zip. We really loved the leftovers the next day as well. This was very simple.

Slow-Cooked Sweet 'n' Sour Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
It smelled amazing when it was cooking, but for the life of me I can't figure out why it needed to cook for so long. The veggies were absolute mush. If we do it again I think we won't add the veggies until the very end. This was the first thing I have made that none of the leftovers were eaten.

Easiest Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
Recipes don't get any easier than this one. Toast your rolls with a little bit of butter and it is amazing. We will definitely make this again. My boyfriend literally purred when he was eating his sandwich. I am considering toasting the rolls with a little garlic next time.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
A little less garlic and it would be GREAT. It made for some amazing leftovers - either by itself or as a sandwich. It was very tender and just fell apart!
