About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I stick to healthy recipes. Lately I'm moving away from red meats, though I do love a good steak, and trying to focus more on fish, chicken, and veggies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Home cooked meals were scarce growing up...
My cooking triumphs
My very first thanksgiving turkey turned out to be an utter masterpiece... Thanks Food Network!
My cooking tragedies
When I was a teenager I forgot to add the water to a cup of ramen and it caught on fire... seriously. Ha, ha. I've come a long way...

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge
This is a great recipe, I didn't change anything. My first batch turned out well (I accidently forgot the vanilla) but my second batch was AMAZING. I'm not sure why it was that much different- it could have been my measuring as I just split a 13oz jar of marshmellow creme. Any way, great recipe! I will definately use this again.

Cream of Pumpkin Soup
I really enjoyed this soup. It makes the house smell wonderful and tastes great. I was not a fan of the crutons as the sugar on top burned. I will make it again without the crutons though because it's great without them. Used evaporated milk instead of cream for health and threw in extra brown sugar and a dash of cayenne as reviews recommended.

Lentil Soup
I don't know what it is, but this soup just didn't do it for me. It seemed to be missing something and just didn't have the taste to draw me in. A little too dull on flavor for me.
