Chef John's Buttermilk Biscuits

I followed the recipe exactly and I loved it. I sliced the butter on a mandolin and then chilled it in the freezer while I assembled the dry ingredients. They were easy to make and we all enjoyed them immensely!

I followed this recipe to the letter. I did read that the ingredients should be room temperature, so I made sure the milk and eggs were taken out and warmed first. They were quick to mix and were absolutely delicious...I can't wait to make some more and try putting cheese in.

Pecan Pie III

Wow! I just made this tonight, practicing for Thanksgiving. Awesome! I did add the 1/4 cup butter and tablspoon of flour and it was perfect! I added pecan halves on the top and my husband loved it! This will be on my table in a couple of weeks!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

What awesome cookies! I've been trying to find a really good oatmeal cookie recipe for a while, and this one is it! I used all butter - and I omitted the raisens (only because I didn't have any in the pantry) but these would be great with raisens, or nuts or chocolate chips! Once thing I researched about baking cookies, is to use cool cookie sheets and to keep the batter cold. The cookies will be fluffier instead of flattening out during baking. This cookies rock!
