Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I submitted this recipe several years ago, before I was a registerd member. It was included in the first cookbook that All Recipes published, and I was so proud. I like to come back every now and then to read some reviews. I recommend Granny Smith apples; it won't be too sweet or watery. Thanks to all you cooks for your ratings and reviews!

Ginger-Touched Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Adding ginger was a great idea! The crystallized ginger I bought was in small cookie pieces, so no chopping was needed. The dough is very soft so I chilled it. The only change I might make is a little less salt. Thanks for the recipe!

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
This is pretty much the way I make my asparagus now. Rather than leaving it whole, I cut it up and stir-fry it. Thanks for a good basic recipe and clarifications.

I made these for Christmas Eve, and everyone really liked them. An impressive, gourmet appetizer that's simple to make.

Indian Tomato Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
I didn't have cardamom, so left it out; only had powdered ginger so used that. I didn't process the onion and spices into a paste. It still tasted great - very similar to an Indian restaurant dish! I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs and loved the result, served over basmati rice.

Greek Honey Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
I made this cake for a Greek-food dinner party, and everyone loved it. None of us had ever had it before, or heard of Karithopeta. The only thing I changed a little was to use a half cup sugar and half cup water in the glaze. Very moist!

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
This is a very good, versatile recipe. I used what I had on hand. As I only had a small amount of fresh spinach, I also sliced and sauteed a carton of fresh button mushrooms. I used a 9x9 glass baking pan, and as another commenter did, I baked it for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. It was nicely brown on the edges and tasted great.
