Afghan Tomato Soup (Aush Goshti)

I really didn't like this at all. It tasted too much like tomato juice and had no depth in flavor. It reminded me of a cheap spaghetti sauce.

Quick and Easy Pancit

My best friend is Filipino and I've eaten a lot of his mom's food, and I don't think this tasted very good. Maybe its because I used Japanese soy sauce instead of Filipino, but I will definitely use a different recipe I found on a Filipino recipe site.

Amish Macaroni Salad

This recipe was great! I should have listened to another reviewer and used 4 eggs instead of three, but I was hungry and needed a snack! Also added a bit if chili pepper each time I ate it and it was great.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Made this as is, and it was excellent. I would still however like it to have more flavor. I don't know what to put into it to make it better though. Maybe more Parmesan? I might look at the other Alfredo recipes and put something together.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

This soup was alright. It's probably just a personal taste preference that I didn't think it was amazing like everyone else. I thought the flavor was still good though. I used portobello mushrooms and crimini, but if I ever make this again, I will probably stick to the white buttons or maybe shitake.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

This soup was pretty good. I like cabbage, so naturally I was drawn by the name, the "fat burning" part was just a plus. I also added a jalapeño pepper into the mix, but didn't even taste it, so next time I will add at least 2.

Beefy Mushroom Barley Soup

This soup was AMAZING! I followed the recipe pretty closely except for adding 1 cup barley and using the liquid I boiled the meat in plus 1 cup chicken broth for extra liquid. I figure I'll scoop the grease off the top after I refrigerate the soup for a night.

Pickled Asparagus

This was my first time pickling and it was kind of a scary experience! The asparagus turned out a lot better than ibthought they would, bubthe picle was sweet, which I don't care for. Will be looking for dill only pickles. Dilly beans are next on my list!

3-Cheese Pasta Bake

Did not think this was anything to rave about. Probably needed a lot more cheese. Maybe more of the two cheese mix. Would be a good side dish to a really strong flavored meat dish.

Hearty Mince

I really loved this! All I added to the recipe was a tsp each of basil and oregano. Another cook said it was basically hamburger helper, and maybe it's because I'm a college student, but I love it either way! Even fried up some zucchini with it and it was yum!

Peruvian Cilantro Rice

So I thought this was kind of bland, but otherwise, pretty good. I added some Johnny's salt to it and some pepper which made it taste a bit better. If I could pinpoint some spices to make it pop, itd be a lot better. EDIT: After letting it sit in the fridge for a night or two, I think this ends up tasting a lot better!

Spicy Albondigas

So I followed the recipe pretty much as is, except I used beef bullion cubes because I didn't have enough chicken stock and also omitted the can of jalepeno/ tomato stuff because I didn't have that either. Otherwise, it turned out great! I'll be saving this in my recipe box!

Stuffing for Slow Cooker

I think the stuffing turned out alright. Not as good as my mom's from the bird, but still pretty good. Oh, and it was WAY too salty for me. I won't add any if I make this again. Two cans of broth was perfect!

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

I thought the recipe was really good. I added onions and fresh mushrooms to mine. I also made the sauce with one can of cream of mushroom and one can of golden mushroom; the idea was from another stroganoff recipe on the site. I like the color it produces and I think it gives more flavor. Oh, I also forgot to add the milk, but didn't notice until after I was done eating.
