Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2001
These are the best calzones I have ever tried. I made them for a Sunday dinner and the whole family complimented me on them. The real calzone lovers said these are the best calzones! Even better that in the best Italian restraunts. The crust and filling were perfect.

Texas Sheet Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2003
Yummy! I love the frosting. My 3 year old loves sprinkles so we had to try it without the nuts so the sprinkles would "look the prettiest". Turned out wonderfully. With some of the reviews stating that it was brownish, I thought it would have more of a brownie texture but it was as cakey as they come.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2002
I was not a bread pudding fan until I came across this recipe. WOW!! It is so perfect. My kids even eat it and ask for seconds! The only thing I do different is leave out the rasins.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
I thought this fondant was very easy to make and to work with. It did dry out a little while I was working with it, so I just added a little water and VOILA! Don't forget to add the water!! I made 2 batches and forgot on the second batch. Killed my mixer. :( And I still gave it 5 stars. :) I left out the vanilla and used butter flavored shortening. It is very rich so we all had a smaller than normal piece, but my waistline thanks you.

Anytime Fruit Salad

Reviewed: May 23, 2002
Yummy!! I have been looking for this recipe ever since I first tried it about a year ago. I tired it with dream whip and it was soupy and I also tried it with lite-cool whip, not a good idea either. It gave it a funny taste. Stick with regular cool whip.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2005
These were great! I had to fight the kids to get them eat them, but once they tried them, they loved them. The crumb topping definately makes them a 5 star recipe. I did over cook mine just a little, but they were still great.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2004
Yummy! This was my first attempt at gingerbread cookies . They turned out wonderful for me. The edges were slightly crispy and the center nice and soft and chewy. I made an outline with frosting and then made eyes, buttons and a mouth. Then turned out so cute. I gave some to my neighbor and she called me within 5 minutes requesting the recipe and told me they were the softest and best gingerbread cookies she had ever tasted. She said she had already eaten 3!! And they were good sized. Just do NOT over cook!

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
I always used to buy the focaccia bread mixes at the store but never again. This recipie is far better that the mixes or any other focaccia bread that I have tried. I really liked the cheese on the top! Thanks Terri!

Brian's Favorite Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2004
WOW!! I would give this 6 stars if I could!! This sauce was absoutely delish!! I did double the oregano, basil and cayenne pepper as some reviewers suggested. I also pureed 2 of the cans of tomatoes, only used about 1 tablespoon of the olive because thats all I found was needed and let it simmer for about an hour. It turned out perfect. The kids loved it!

Marinated Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2004
Wow!! This was sooo good. The favorite was the cream cheese but is was so hard to cut and didn't hold its shape while marinating so I just marinated the whole block and served it with the sauce poured over it. Awesome!!

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2003
This is the best homemade sauce I have ever had! It is also much better than anything you can get in the store, but then again, it is homemade. I left out the green pepper, because I didnt have any on hand, and used only diced tomatoes, because once again, that was all I had. I also left out the sugar all together and added a can of tomato sauce (I dont care for the taste of tomato paste), 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes and a pinch of baking soda to take out some of the acidity, which ends up turning the acid to sugar and makes it taste a bit sweeter so it doesnt need the sugar after all! Wonderfull recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Peanut Butter Fingers

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2003
Yum! My husband had "the best" lunch lady who always made the best food. He wanted her recipe for peanut butter bars and with his discription of them I found this recipe. He said that they arent quite like she made them but we all loved this recipe. You'll need a HUGE glass of milk with these. They are rich and delicious!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
The whole family loved it. The sauce is what makes it a 5 star recipe in my opinion. I used canned chicke broth instead of the wine, and left out the chicken bullion.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2001
Wonderful!! These enchiladas easily passed the picky 2 year old test! My little boy ate as much as I did. I subsituted cream of chicken soup for the cream of mushroom soup and was very happy with the end result. I will definatley make these again.
