Delicious and a great timesaver! I used FROZEN boneless chicken thighs (about 12), as I didn't have time to defrost them, and it turned out great! Had they been defrosted, I think the chicken would have been overcooked, even with a 4.5 hour total cook time on high.
Based on the helpful comments from reviewers: I sprinkled the FROZEN thighs with cumin, paprika, onion powder (I didn't have time to use fresh onion), garlic powder, poultry seasoning, Lawry's seasoning salt (just a bit); I used 1 can reduced sodium cream of chicken soup & 1 can of reduced sodium cream of mushroom soup and covered with reduced sodium chicken broth, instead of water.
I cooked it on HIGH x 1.5 hours then added 1 can Pillsbury biscuits (first cut each biscuit into 4 pieces, based on reviews). Cooked on HIGH additional 3 hours, which was plenty. I thickened the sauce with 2 Tbsp of cornstarch (dissolved in cold water before stirring in).
Next time, I'll try 4hrs TOTAL cook time, on HIGH, using frozen chicken thighs again and add a bit more seasoning.
Overall, it was delicious! My 4 year old and 8 year old enjoyed it, too. I think the leftover chicken and sauce would be tasty over egg noodles. So quick to put together when you're pressed for time!
